Melody's POV

Me:Harmony.I am 25 years old.I can move wherever I want.

I put my phone on speaker as I started putting the finishing touches on my new house.

Harmony:Ok and I'm 23 but you don't hear me telling everyone my age.Plus I'm not telling you to move where I want you to move.I'm just asking how much money it was to move into a rich neighborhood.

Me:Oh.Then who said I should've moved to New York instead of L.A.?

Harmony:Symphony, our other sister, who does not sound like me.

Yep,that's right guys.I have 2 sisters and we're all named after music.

Symphony:I just wanted to know why you would move in the same state we in when you can move to another popular state like New York.

Me:So I could be closer to y'all.

Symphony:Ight.

Harmony:So how much was the house and what's the rent?

Me:$64,000 for the house & $500 for the rent.

Harmony & Symphomy:Damnnnn!!!!!

Symphony:Better share some of that lottery money.

Harmony:Nigga get a job.

Symphony:But I'm 21.

Harmony:I was 18 and I had a job.So no excuses.

Symphony:Whatever.

Me:(Laughing) I'll talk to y'all later.I'm going for my afternoon run.

Harmony:Peace in the Middle East,my son.

Me:(Laughing) Peace.

I ran upstairs to my bedroom and searched through my clothes drawers for my sports outfit.
I put on a black and white Nike tank top, with my black track shorts, and black Nike's.

Me:Ok Troy.

I looked at my little Yorkie.

Me:I'll be right back.

He jumped on my leg and licked my hands, before going back on his little bed.
I grabbed my phone and my headphones and headed out the door.I went to my music app and put on Little More by Chris Brown.
Love that song😍😍😍
I set my watch for 30 minutes and started my jog.As I jogged passed the beautiful huge houses I started to think about how my life was turning downside up.
From when I was in a relationship with my ex,Nick, and he cheated on me,to me being the stronger person to just kick him out of my life. Also when I was just a broke girl working in Burger King down in Southern California to me being pretty rich from that one lottery ticket and living like a queen.
4 million dollars sure can help someone.
Helped my mother and sisters from getting evicted from their house and I'm helping pay the rent.I was gonna by them a new house but my mom wanted to stay in that same house that she was raised in.Harmony & Symphony don't mind staying in that house but I do.
I remember when dad died in that same exact chair mom sits in everyday.I don't really like to stay in places where people died,so I was more than happy to move out.But just thinking bout moving out gave me some pros and cons.Like I would have the whole house to myself.Peace and quiet. No one bothering me.But then I realize that I'm gonna miss being close to family and them bothering me all the time.So that's why I decided to just move in the state but a few hours away and to always stay in contact.
I looked at my watch. All that thinking and jogging made time look like it was running faster than I was.I've been running for like 25 minutes and I missed more than 5 songs on my playlist.I was listening to Fine By Me by Chris Brown for the last 5 minutes of my run.
I looked back at my watch and started watching the seconds go by as I continued jogging.
Which was a big mistake.
By the time I looked up it was too late.
