Chapter 3

Chris's POV

*5 Hours Later (11:35 pm)*

After 2 hours of being dragged in and out,store by store,and Hazel drying out my pockets.
Plus 2 hours of being in the California Star Club and watching Hazel trying to flirt and dance on every male star,cuffed or not,and an hour of me talking to her about Royalty and her not caring while driving me back to my house,I felt hunger and sleepiness come over me.I walked to my house and unlocked the door to see nobody was here.It was just quiet and lonely.I was waiting for Royalty to run towards me and hug me while the babysitter just sat there and laughed.
But then I forgot:

1.Hazel fired the babysitter for no reason.

2.It's way past her bedtime,so she wouldn't be up.

3.She's at Melody's house.

I looked at my watch and saw that it was 11:39 pm.I don't really think Melody is awake either.
I don't want to bother her at this time of night,but I really wanted to see my Royalty...and her too😅
I took off my shirt,leaving me in my black tank top like undershirt,my black & white Nike joggers,and my black & white Vans.
I grabbed my keys and phone,and headed back out into the warm LA weather.I walked to the left of my house and started heading next door to Melody's house.I rang the doorbell but nothing happened.I rang it again just to notice that it wasn't working.I was gonna knock on the door but I don't think they could hear my knock all the way from upstairs.Especially if the door might be closed.I tried the doorknob. To my surprise,it was unlocked.I went inside and closed the door,examining the lock.

Me:There's the problem.It doesn't work.

I stopped fiddling with the lock and went upstairs.I went to the first open door I saw and went towards it.I peeked in to see a little puppy snuggled and wrapped in my baby's arms and my baby wrapped and snuggled in a beautiful Sleeping Beauty.
I quietly walked into the room and shook Melody a little.

Me:(Whispers) Melody.

She didn't move.

Me:(Whispers) Melody.

Her hand moved mine and returned around Royalty.

Me:(Whispers) Melody,wake up.

This time I actually made progress.Her eyes started to slowly open as she looked at me.

Melody:(Rubbing her eyes) Chris?How did you get in here?

Me:Well,I rang your doorbell but it doesn't work and I tried the door and it was unlocked.

Melody:(Yawning) I thought I locked it.

Me:You probably did.But the lock doesn't work.

Melody:Oh.Dang.I have to get it fixed.

Me:I'll fix it for you.

Melody:Are you sure that won't be any trouble?

Me:(Smiles) Very sure.

She smiled at me as she started getting out of bed.I watched as she stretched her arms showing her cute belly button piercing with a silver stud earring,and how that booty jiggled a little when she brushed her arm against it.
