Finally, that idiot got out of his reverie and walked into the cafe. He sat beside me, casually putting his arms around my chair.
"Why are you two so cozy?" Alex asked, slightly smiling.
"Us two?" I pointed at myself then at Ashton.
"No, I was talking about the waitress and Ashton." He said with sarcasm and rolled his eyes.
Ashton looked at me, dreamily? I don't know, and said. "Oh, I wonder why?"
I slapped his arm which was on my chair. "Ouch! Ellie!" Ashton yelped in pain. He looked at me while he pouted. I laughed at the sight as he was so cute. With his bottom lip pushed forward as if it wanted to be kissed.
Nah, I would not kissed him in public. That would create more chaos and problems. And we just started dating like a few minutes ago. So we would be moving too fast.
I looked away and saw the others were all staring at our direction. When I looked at them, they turned to me and they either smirked or smiled.
How would I explain this?
"Guys, Ashton and I-"
"Sorry to interrupt but here are your food." The waitress said, interrupting my confession. She placed a chicken burger in front of me while I muttered a thanks. Then, Ashton had Satay Chicken Strips & Rice. It looked so delicious. The others simply had a sandwich of different types. Only Ashton and I had something special I guess.
"That looks nice, Ash." I said while eyeing at Ashton's lunch. I wanted some and I wished, Ashton would be kind enough to give me some. I will trade him with some of my chicken burger.
"Well, thank you." He smirked and knew that I wanted some. He proceeded to grab some Satay chicken strips with his fork. Slowly, putting it in his mouth. He made a sound, similar to a moan. Tasting that delicious piece of meat.
He was teasing me.
I glared at him even though he was not looking at me. Then, I gave up so I just grabbed my burger and began to devour it like it was my last meal.

After an hour or so, we all had finished our meals and our stomachs were about to bust. So, I suggested a walk around the nearby beach before we go to Meadowedge which was about half an hour away.
We, girls were all walking in front of the boys. We were talking about random stuff including hot male actors, shopping and books.
I decided to tune out from the girls so I could enjoy the nature. The sun was out and bright with some clouds in front of it. I could see that in front of us, but still far away, was a creek. Weirdly shaped with a white strip across of it. Sand was getting into my sandals but I didn't mind it. I liked how it felt on my feet. Rough and cooling somehow. The waves of the sea were crashing up and down as if they were dancing. Welcoming us. I smiled and was going to talk to the girls again but I saw them, in front of me, but far away.
"You were in a dazed just now, El." Ashton said. I realized he was standing beside me the whole time.
"It's beautiful." I looked back towards the sea.
I saw him from my peripheral vision, he also did the same. "It is." He said.
We didn't say anything for a few moments, just took the time to enjoy the beautiful view in front of us. Suddenly, I felt a hand slipped into mine. I looked at Ashton while he smiled. I intertwined our fingers together and pulled him towards our friends, who were waiting for us at the very far side.
