I was sitting back in Ashton's car with Lia and Nick at the back seat. We decided to have only two cars as it will be easier and it was only a short trip to the beach. Only about half an hour away.
During the car ride, Lia was arguing with Nick about something. I think it was about video games. But I didn't know which kind as I was not a fan. Those two were. They could be that gaming couple in our group. Sadly, there were not together. Sometimes, I saw Lia secretly looked at Nick a little longer than she always would.
Maybe there was something there but oh well.
What about Ashton and I, you asked? We did nothing much. He was driving and I was just looking out of the window, appreciating the lovely view. But at one point, he held my right hand in his, near the hand brake. I played with his hand, counting his fingers, just for fun. I intertwined our hands together, drew a little heart on top of his hand and traced A and E as well, out of boredom. At the traffic lights, he would bring my hand up against his lips and kissed it. It was cute and I liked it very much.
Ashton pulled up in a parking spot near the beach and let go of my hand. I frowned a little. Just a little. But I knew I had to let go of his hand or else how would he or I get out of this car?
I am so stupid.
I undid my seat belt and saw Ashton had already opened the door for me. How sweet.
Maybe I was wrong at the start to think he had no manners at all. Maybe dating him would make me realize another side of him. A sweeter and more romantic of him.
He offered one of his hand and I took it as I got out of the car. He smiled at me and my heart was thumping loudly. I thought Ashton might even hear it but I didn't think so unless he was a vampire or werewolf.
But, Ellie that is impossible they don't exist. My inner voice said.
You never know, brain. They might be real. Or else how did fiction books write about them? And why can I search about them in Wikipedia? I asked my inner voice. I knew I was stupid for talking to myself but that was me.
You are right, Ellie. But I am sorry to break the news, those hot looking human turning werewolves would never be real. My inner stated the truth but I can't believe it. My inner voice was evil. I hated her for ruining my fantasy.
Don't tell Ashton that I was thinking about hot human turning werewolves! It is our secret!
"Ellie!" A voice called and I snapped out of my conversation with my evil self.
"What?" I looked towards the voice and it was Ashton.
"You were spacing out again. Were you thinking about me?" He winked and I pretended to puke.
"No thanks."
"Why not? I am your boyfriend now. You can think whatever you want about me. I give you permission to." He wiggled his eyebrows up and down. I was pissed at him but I knew he was just joking about it. No harmed done.
"Even if you gave me permission. I would not." I said and changed my tone to a softer one so hopefully he would not hear it. "If I do, I would not tell you anyway."
"I heard that!" He said. Ashton began to pull me along with him as he walked towards our friends.
"Damn it... I sucked at whispering." I mumbled.
----
"So how was the ride?" Alex asked Lia and Nick.
"It was awful. Seeing those two," Lia pointed at us. " flirting with each other is an awful and a very unusual sight to see."
