I awoke the next day to a knock on the door. I wondered to myself as to who would be knocking on the door at these early hours. I get up out of bed and answer the door. I get up out of bed and answer the door.

To my shock, a man in a hooded robe was standing outside my door. He wore a blue and off-white robe and he appears to be of Native American origin.

"My name is Connor. My mentor has sent me to get you." He said.

"Wait, to get me?" I ask in shock. "Take me where? I can't be in trouble already! I just got here last eve." I said.

"All is well, I will explain when we get to the homestead." He reassured me.

I hesitated, but grabbed some of my things and followed Connor, who already had a horse and wagon waiting. An older gentleman had the reigns. I climbed onto the wagon and I fell asleep.

About an hour later we arrived to the homestead. It was enormous enough that it looked like a castle. Connor helped me off the wagon, then he offered to carry my belongings.

We go inside the house and I am instantly amazed by the interior beauty. Old paintings of the older gentleman and his wife and child, hanging above the fireplace. Connor leads me to my room and he sets my belongings on the floor.

"Get your rest, Scarlett, for tomorrow we being your training." He says.

"Training? For what?" I ask, but he already disappeared. I shake my head and go to bed, awaiting what lies ahead of me tomorrow.
