Chapter 6 - Training

I awoke the next morning to what sounded like a scream, but it was just only a bird outside my window. I got out of and saw some sort of hooded robe, so I put it on and went outside to join Connor and the older gentleman for training.

"Morning, Miss Scarleyt. Today, we are training you in running and climbing. Connor, would you please demonstrate?" Said the older gentleman to Connor.

"Certainly Achilles." Connor said and started to run. I watched him in amazement. There is no way I can do that." I said.

"Nothing is impossible if you don't try." He reassured me.

He was right, so I followed after Connor with the runnin. It took me ten minutes to find Connor. He was nowhere around. Then, something big fell from the tree and landed in a pile of leaves behind me. It was Connor.

"How did you do that and come out of the leaves easily and unharmed?" I asked.

He walked towards me. "Its simple, but you are to learn that some other time, for the sun is setting. Let's head for the homestead." He said. So I follow behind him, still astounded by Connor's abilities. I have so much to learn.
