As Connor and I ride to Bostton, he asks me about my life and why I am here.

"You see Connor, I was with a bad group of people called the Templars and the leader of the group was a man by the name of Haytham Kenway. Back in England, he killed my family. I was put in an orphanage when I was five years old. Then, when I got older, I left the orphanage to work on my studies. I was then sent on a mission, to find and kill Haytham Kenway." I ended, for only thinking about my childhood made me miserable.

But what Connor told me next stunned me. That Haytham Kenway is his father and Connor is to kill him as well, only to seek justice for Haytham burning his village and killing his mother.

"Together, we can kill Haytham and stop the Templars once and for all." I said.

"Don't be too eager, Scarlett. We still have many things to do before we can complete our mission." Connor said.

The rest of the ride was quiet as we made our way to Boston. We make our way to the Green Dragon, the local inn and pub that has small rooms, but good brew. But we are only here to get my items I left behind before going to the homestead.

I enter my room, only to find it a mess. Everything I owned was destroyed. I fall to my knees and start to cry.

Connor comes over and offers to help me up. I take his hand, stand up and wipe the tears away.

"Thank you, Connor. Who would do this and why? I don't understand." I ask, gaining my strength back.

"I may have an idea as to who was behind this." He says. "Follow me."

We go outside and notice fresh footprints. We get on our horses and follow them into an alleyway. We dismount our horses and follow them on foot to find our suspect -- the one and only Haytham Kenway.

I want to hide behind a fence, but I am much braver than that. I walk up to him and confront him, putting my hood up and my hidden blade against his back.

"You think you are so slick, thinking you can destroy one's property AND think you can get away with it? You are lucky I won't kill you now, but just you wait." I say in his ear.

He turns around. "Ah, miss Scarlett, wonderful to see you too." He says, pushing me to the ground and getting on top of me, with his blade at the seam of my robe on my shoulder.

"Let this be a warning that I only spare your life." He says, as the blade goes halfway into my shoulder. "And if you threaten me again, I won't hesitate to kill you." He says as he gets up and leaves.

Clutching my shoulder, I walk back to Connor. Blood seeping through my robe, Connor helps me up on my horse and we head back to the homestead.
