I keep running wildly through the unknown streets trying to get away from it all. I whip past the street lights and cars until I see something catch my eye and I slowly start to stop. I look at it and I hear my stomach start to growl. Ugh I moan and groan I run towards it and start to look around while I go in.
I see food and more food and just lovely yummy looking food. It's a food market I'm guessing. I walk slowly towards the isles trying to catch my breath. I see bread and buns. I keep walking down the different isles until I find what I need.
Walking to the check out lane I put my stuff on the conveyer belt. "Cash or card she asks with a fake smile on her powdered face?"
"Cash I say with a emotionless expression on my face." I dig my hand in my bag. Looking up at the girl I see her looking agitated. "Uh sorry just a minute please." At that moment I find my paper envelope with some money in it.
"How much is it?"
"How old are you anyways she asks with her eyebrow raised?"
"Do you want the money or not I say out flatly?"
"Yes I want the money she sighs."
"How much?"
"It will be $5.23"
I look in my envelope and see I only have $100 bucks saved up. I breath in a sharp quick breath and hand her a $5.00 bill and a quarter keep the change."
"Thanks for shopping with us and please come again soon she smiles so fake it's pathetic."
I walk out without saying anything. Once I get out side I start walking on the side walk to find somewhere to sit and eat.
Beep...beep I look up and find that I wandered off the sidewalk and in the middle of the street. "Oops sorry I say while running away and back to the sidewalk." Ugh just my luck I'm so stupid I need to be more aware of my surroundings. I look around and see a bench,walking to it I sat down.
I start to unwrap my sand which and water bottle out of it's bag and I stuff it in my black leather jacket. I take a big bite out of the turkey sandwich. It tastes so intoxicating and delicious that I eat and drink the water bottle in less than ten minutes.
Well that's lunch and dinner for a couple days because I haven't eaten in a few days before and I need to save as much money as I can before I need to steal maybe or look for a job.
I don't like stealing in fact I hate it but if it's what I need to do to survive than I'm going to do it. I look down at my empty water bottle and sigh. I stuff it in my bag and stand up slowly.
I walk around to look for a place to sleep for the night. While I'm walking I see this kid from my junior class...oh no. I put my hand in front of my face and hope he doesn't see me while I pass. But as it turns out my luck just keeps getting better and better.
"Hey aren't you Raven?"
I wanted to say no dip Sherlock who else would it be. But in stead I say "Ya I'm Raven I say in a bored tone."
"Weren't you in my junior class when you graduated early with high honor's he asks completely excited?"
"Mmmhmm I said while I started walking."
"Oh my gosh I just can't believe it you made top record for earliest graduate with high honors and a high honors grade in every class with extra volunteer work and everything he says completely thrilled."
Wow does he even have a life while I walk a little bit faster. "It was actually because I passed the S.A.T and the college test graduate."
"Really he says with a impressed look on his face.
Ok this dude is starting to freak me out. "Uh I got to go see ya later...probably not I muttered under my breath."
"Oh ok he said looking a little disappointed."
I almost feel really bad for the guy. But that dude should not even be stalking me and be excited to see me. It's not my fault.
I start to run and I see that it's starting to get dark out.
I find a bridge and go under it. I see darkness and dirt. This will have to do I sigh. I sit down and lean against the wall. It is not comfortable. I keep moving around trying to find the right spot to sleep in. I take my bag off and look for anything inside to give me some more cushion. But nothing is there I take a deep frustrated breath and put my bag on the ground so I can lay my head down.
I finally start getting comfortable and start dozing off. I am finally enveloped into a deep dark dreamless sleep. Which I very much needed.
Um hi this is my first time ever doing this so yeah.... The book is more interesting and fun than I could ever hope for. Just keep reading and more action and some what drama will be headed your way thanks. ~J
