Chapter 35

A month later......

"Let's gooooo," Jess whined as he pulled me out of the car.

"What the fuck Jess? It's not that serious, we're just hanging out at the park." I told him, rolling my eyes.

First he woke me up at 8 o'clock in the morning to go shopping for no reason I might add, and then we went back to my house were I changed into the outfit he bought me and now we're meeting Matteo and Montero in the park. He acts like we're auditioning for American Idol or something. We were supposed to be meeting them by a waterfall that's located on the other side of the park but Jess insisted that we park all the way in the front, even though there is a parking lot in the back near the waterfall and pond area.

"Yeah but we are late. We should have been here like five minutes ago but no, someone had to take for-fucking-ever." He said sounding irritated.

I looked at him incredulously," Yes because it's totally my fault that there was traffic on the freeway. Are you pmsing or were you just dropped on your head as a child?"

He shrugged," Probably both."

We slowed down as we approached the sign that said which way everything was located. In front of the sign was a bundle of one of my favorite flowers, purple orchids. Under it was an envelope that said Mi Amor in fancy cursive. I opened it and pulled out the note inside and read it

I looked at the note chuckling. I turned to see Jess smirking at me.

"What's going on?" I asked suspiciously knowing he knew what was happening.

"Beats me," he replied dumbly.

"Yeah because your standing there smirking for no reason," I stated sarcastically.

"Yup," he nodded in agreement.

I rolled my eyes before picking up the flowers, and putting the note and envelope back in my pocket. We kept walking and as we walked I saw a thought bubble with my name on it and another envelope attached to it nailed to a tree. It was the tree we sat at the first time Matteo and I came to this park.

I opened it and I couldn't help the soft smile that graced my features.

"Ooooh I wanna see," Jess said childishly pouting. I rolled my but handed it to him.

"Aww that's so true for you guys. I would say I'm jelly but I just remembered I'm peanut butter bitch," he told me sassily while handing me the note back.

"What?" I asked looking at him weirdly.

"I would say I'm jelly but I'm peanut butter," he paused," bitch."

"Yeah I really need to ask your mom if she dropped you on the head as a child."

He smirked at me," Nah it was probably my dad, my mom's too caution."

I shrugged nonchalantly, agreeing as we continued walking. We were passing the bed of purple and blue orchids that were right before the waterfall, when Jess stopped me.

He smiled at me," There's another envelope in the middle of the flowers."

I looked at him weirdly," Okay?"

I shook my head at him knowing that he had something to do with whatever Matteo was doing. I was curious but I didn't want to ruin the surprise by trying to find out from Jess.....not that he would tell me.
