Link's POV

I looked around as I followed Ravio down the hallway. The darker haired boy had taken my schedule and was looking at it closely as if he didn't want to miss a single detail. I smiled as we passed by a trophy case and I paused briefly to look at it.

"Oo, you guys must have a good sports program!" I said, placing my fingers against the glass.

Ravio stopped and turned to me. I could see some annoyance on his face and he walked over to me and stood beside me.

"Yeah we have a pretty decent team," Ravio stated, "but a lot of the trophies we get come from the band. They're a good group. I wouldn't know though." He finished before turning away, "Come on we don't have all morning..."

I huffed then followed Ravio away from the trophies. He acted as though we were in a rush, though I knew for a fact school didn't start for another hour. I wanted to stay and take in all the details but Ravio was pulling me along quickly. I nearly had to jog to keep up with him!

We went down a long hallway and I noticed the sapphire colored tiles down the center of the floor. It was really beautiful and I smiled weakly.

Wow... This school is really colorful with all the colors-

I grunted as I ran into Ravio, who had stopped suddenly. Ravio squeaked and stumbled forward slightly with the force of me running into him and he turned to me, an annoyed look on his face.

"Watch where you're going please." He said, his voice quivering as if he was trying to keep it at a calm tone.

I shrugged apologetically and he turned away with a slight huff. I watched him walk up to a pastel green door and stand by it. I noticed the words Irene on the top of the door along with the word 'chemistry'. Ravio looked at my schedule one last time before looking at me.

"Here, this is going to be your first hour class. Ms. Irene is really nice but she's new here so be kind to her," Ravio said, "I don't have this hour with you, but I do have a few hours with you. If you don't remember where her class is follow the smell of burning iron and you'll find the class."

I took a whiff of the air and I could faintly smell the stench of burning metal. Ravio looked at my schedule for at least the tenth time in five minutes then turned on his heels and marched down the hallway. I squeaked slightly and jogged after the raven haired boy. He walked way too fast for my liking, and I didn't understand why. I heard a faint tweeting sound and I noticed Ravio tense slightly and his free hand went to his chest instantly.

"Hey are you ok?" I asked, causing the boy to jump at the sound of my voice, "What's wrong with your chest?"

Ravio turned his emerald green eyes to me then looked away again. I could've sworn I saw a glimpse of fear in his eyes.

"Oh, it's nothing. Nothing at all." he said quickly, "Let's not talk about things that don't pertain to the schedule, ok?"

I frowned a little but didn't protest as we walked down the hallway. Ravio turned on his heels and took a sharp right and I followed quickly, not wanting to loose him. I was almost running after him to catch up with the retreating form of Ravio. He had seemed to pick up more speed when he had turned the corner and it was really bothering me. Ravio once again stopped abruptly and I veered to the side so that I didn't run into him this time. Ravio once again checked my schedule a few times before turning to me.

"Ok, History class with Ms. Impa. She's strict so be careful." Ravio said casually, motioning to the door, "There's another History teacher, Mr. Sahasrahla, but you didn't get him for your class. I have him though, and he's pretty cool, but I'd prefer Ms. Impa."

The door was the same pastel green like all the other ones, only the paint was more chipped and cracked than the others. It looked almost as if the door were a piece of history as well! I was going to mention the anomaly to Ravio but he had turned away from me. He was slightly hunched over, and I just assumed he was looking over my schedule again. He stayed in that position for a few moments before he turned to me again. I noticed what looked like a feather on the collar of his purple hoodie.

"Well, come on. Off to art." he said, turning and marching off.

He was walking more slowly this time, much to my enjoyment, and I looked at him. He had a hand on his chest.

"Is your chest ok?" I asked.

Ravio looked at me then looked away again. I could tell he was hiding something but I didn't know what.

"I'm fine," he said, rather shortly this time, "If I wasn't fine, you'd know. Trust me."

I knew he was lying to me but I didn't press the subject. As we walked towards the art class I noticed Ravio slowed his pace more and a slight look of discomfort passed his face. I looked at him when suddenly he stopped abruptly in front of a door. He motioned to it.

"This is your art class with Mr. Yuga. He's a jerk, so I would be on my best behavior in this class if I were you," he said. "You also share this class with me."

I smiled widely.

"Awesome!" I said happily and I saw a small smile form on Ravio's face.

"Yeah, it's pretty cool... Anyways, let's go before Mr. Yuga comes out and yells at us for being out in the hallways. The morning time before school is his... 'Inspiration time' as he always says." Ravio said calmly, turning on his heel and walking off.

I followed him and smiled. He seemed to be in a slightly better mood, as if the thought of being near that classroom made him gloomy. I didn't understand why yet, but I was pretty sure I'd find out soon enough. As we walked I put my hands behind my head and smiled.

The school is amazing so far... Oh I really hope I have fun here. I thought excitedly.
