Planning a wedding with out her brother was hard, though she had slowly forgave Lori, she would never forgive her own flesh and blood for what he had done. Christopher had never been a fan of Lindsey and though Stevie knew that, she just never knew that he could be so cruel to try and ruin her later years to become a wife. Lindsey was Stevie's match, her soul, her spirit would soar when near him and the love that could sometimes turn to anger, it's what kept them alive. No relationship was perfect and as Stevie gradually grew older, she realized that things with Lindsey could have been saved if she just would have been strong enough to ignore all of his negative personality, though it was hard on him to not understand what she had been angry about in the first place. She just wanted her last days of her life to finally be near the man that made all her dreams come true, all her love to be expressed in his presence, as did he.
Spending the day with Lindsey's girls, Stevie had them measured for their dresses, asking both of them to be her flower girls. She wanted them to know that they were important to her and that though she wasn't their biological mother, she would be there for them and give them everything that a real mother could. The two girls warmed up to her again quite quickly, as it wasn't hard for a young girl or woman in general to be drawn to Stevie's magnificent personality.
They took a stroll through the mall, Stevie buying them everything that their little hearts desired, even buying matching heart necklaces. This was something that Stevie never had the chance to experience, both girls calling her, Mama Stevie, by the end of the day and bringing her to tears.By the time Lindsey returned home with Will, as they also had been out spending quality male time together, wanting him to find a tux that he'd be comfortable wearing, Lindsey's ears were filled with the laughter of all three of his girls. They had been making brownies, Stevie telling them the story of how their father once attempted a batch, burning them all and Stevie having to pry the burnt batter out of the pan.
"Now what's so funny?" asked Lindsey, holding up his hands to greet his two girls, giving them kisses as he rubbed the back of their heads.
"Dad!" said Stella, "...Mama Stevie was just telling us about how your burnt the brownies once! You are silly, dad, but not surprised."
Lindsey gave Stevie a look, "Oh, she did, huh? Is that right, Mama Stevie?" walking up behind his fiancé as he secretively goosed her, moving the hair away from her neck as he gave it a kiss.
Stevie giggled, almost in her own little girl world, smiling at him as she gave a nod. "Yes, I did, I'm sorry! We were having a good time talking about you."
"Well," placing his hands on his hips dramatically, "...I guess I just wasn't met for playing house wife."
Laughing, Stevie elbowed him in the stomach, Lindsey crouching forward as he stole a brownie that was still cooling. "Mr. Buckingham! Those are not ready to be eaten yet!"
He engulfed the brownie, crumbs all over his face, his girls busting out in laughter as he grabbed a napkin to wipe off his mouth. "Mmm, these are wonderful! Thanks, ladies," giving his girls kisses again while Stevie pointed to her own cheek, wanting a kiss as well. "I'll give you a proper kiss later," whispering in her ear as he pecked her cheek.
"Where's, Will?" asked Stevie, placing the brownies in the middle of the island, the girls cleaning up the dishes in the sink. "We had dinner but wasn't sure if the two of you ate, I saved some in the oven for you," wrapping her arms around Lindsey's neck. "Is he still mad at me?"
His arms went up and down her back, running his nose against hers, "He's in his room but don't worry," lowering his voice, "...he's just really close to his mother, it's new for him but he loves you, I promise."
