When we got back, Dana was yelling and lecturing us. Apparently, we ended up on the news and now Blackwatch is looking for us.

"Do you guys have any idea how bad this is? Now they'll be on high alert and they might go door to door...are you even listening?"

I was, but Alex wasn't. He seemed distant and kept staring at the floor. I wanted to ask him if he saw the same vision that I saw.

"Alex? Alex!" Dana yelled.

"What?" Was Alex's response.

"Listen, both of you need to be more secretive when going on crazy missions. What you guys just did was down right terrible. We can't let Blackwatch or Gentek know we're trying to fuck them up."

"We got it." I said.

"Good, now Alex I got some news for you. Does the name Karen Parker ring any bells? Well it should. She was close to you; an ex-girlfriend. I have her address from the laptop. Get to her before the military makes her disappear. Look, if I can find this lead, you can bet they will too."

Alex started walking away and I sat down on the couch. He clearly didn't need me for this mission. Dana told him to be careful and he grunted in response. He climbed out the window and left.

"So, what did you guys find?" Dana asked me.

"We found Elizabeth Greene, but she didn't seem too happy that we rescued her. Then she made us see a vision."

"What vision?"

"A vision that showed Manhattan being infected and monsters roaming the place. I mean, those monsters were downright terrifying!"

"Sounds like you guys did a lot of stuff."

"We sure did. It wasn't fun though. Alex got his ass beat by Elizabeth Greene."

"And what did you do?"

"I killed a monster."

"Cool."

Dana went back to typing on her computer and I went back to being bored. I kept thinking about that guy I consumed. So now I can turn into him whenever I want to. Or I could go into Gentek and find my brother and tell him that I'm alright! That sounds good!

"Um, Dana?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm just going to go outside for some fresh air." I told her.

"I don't know, last time you left, you didn't come back until Alex had to bring you in."

"Oh yeah, but I promise that I will come back." I pleaded to Dana. I needed to let Ryan know that I'm safe, so I had to use the old trick. I looked away and when I looked back at Dana, I pulled my sad puppy dog eyes. They always worked on Brian when I wanted something. Dana tried looking away, but you just can't. I'm too good.

"Fine! You can go, but please come back you dufus."

"Okay!" I said and climbed out the window. The air smelled fresh and I hope it stays that way. I jumped down to the ground and went straight to the nearest public telephone and called Ryan. I called him three times and he didn't pick up. I put the telephone back and looked around the area. It looked pretty normal to me, but on the news there was mass panic and people dying from the virus. I hope that Alex and I can cure this virus crap and finally go back to our normal lives. I looked up to the sky and noticed how red it was in the distance. It kind of scared me a little knowing that we were in a small safe zone, but the rest of the island was dangerous.

Something moved out of the corner of my eye and I saw Elizabeth Greene staring right back at me. I stared at her and she motioned for me to follow her. I ran up the rooftop and followed her. I had no idea where she was leading me to, but I'm going to find out eventually.
