Insane Asylum (Destiel Fan Fiction)

(1) Inroduction

I was laying in bed, hands and feet cold while my forehead and body was warm. My head rested uncomfortably on the soft, sinking pillow as I stared at the wall.

I sighed lightly, and sat up, bed creaking after the movement. I bent over to the small drawer next to my bed, and took my device off of it. I turned it on, slightly hissing at the sudden light which hit my eyes.

6:45AM

I sat up onto my bed, and turned to the window. I grabbed the curtain, and moved it out of the way to see the view outdoors. It was still dark, and a small amount of snow was slowly falling onto the ground, creating shallow piles of snow. A small smile curved onto my lips.

'Winter is almost here' I thought. (GAME OF THRONES YEE)

I shut the curtain, and opened my device and went to my messages. Honestly, all I had was Ruby and father. I didn't really have a lot of friends in school, I had trouble making them. And I did have no siblings,  just father and me in the house.

I opened my conversation with Ruby and typed down my message, praying that she was awake and was available to speak.

Castiel: Hey Ruby, are you awake?

Castiel clicked 'send' and the blue chat bubble appeared, showing his sent message. He sat in silence, staring at the screen. All there was displayed was their previous conversation and Castiel's new message.
Ruby wasn't going to reply, it was quite obvious. Whenever she'd receive a message she would instantly reply.

I gave up, and shut off my device, staring at the black screen. I slid my device underneath my pillow, and wrapped myself up in the blanket. The blanket was soft and cold. It wasn't too cold, it was the type of cold that you could instantly handle and you wouldn't freeze in.
It would've been perfect for sleep...that's if I was capable of doing so.

I am usually awake early, no matter the day. If it's a school day or weekend, doesn't matter. I would always wake up around 7. It's because I sleep early and have my schedule built up properly.

But this time is different..I am not awake because of my schedule, or because I slept long enough. I am awake by..'it'.

I cannot word it probably, but 'it' woke me up. What happened was I was dreaming a normal dream, but then I bursted awake in confusion.

In my dream, I was wearing a suit and a blue tie. I was wearing a long trench coat, and hair done improperly.
I was stepping outside off of my front porch, shutting the door behind me. The cold outside didn't really seem to be irritating. I assume it was my house, because I got out of it without anyone holding a grudge against me.

I walked and then stopped in the middle of the driveway. I looked up at the sky, and the night sky was covered in clouds.

Except for the middle of the sky.

There was a gap in the sky, the area was plain dark blue. The clouds started to form together, more circular.
I didn't seem confused or scared of it in my dreams, it was as if I knew this was going to happen, or I wanted it to happen.

I just stood, staring at the sky. All of a sudden, thunder rang through the air and a bright light appeared in the center.
The bright light wasn't just sitting in the sky. The light became a beam, and struck the ground.

Directly at me.

I just had my arms spread out, allowing the light to hit me. It wasn't painful, and the light kept coming. I then realized it didn't strike me line lightening, I realized it was reaching inside of me.

I didn't experience the whole thing, because I jolted awake. But when I instantly woke up, I saw the light in my eyes from the dream for a good 5 slow seconds, then it left. And I was able to see my room again.

I wanted to fall back asleep, wishing to receive the same dream to know what is happening.

Why did it come at me?
Why wasn't I frightened?
Was it a dream?
Or was it a vision?

I was too curious, and my nerves kicked in, denying the fact that I wanted to fall back asleep.
I shut my eyes for a while, didn't move, had my head filled with thought so I can fall asleep thinking of it, but it didn't work.
I gave up, and just laid there. It must've been something because I was capable of seeing the light once waking up.
For now, all I can do is lay down and wonder..

..I guess I'll just have to wait and find out.

Oh, and for any confusion, I tried to word out the scene where Castiel enters Jimmy Novak as a vessel, but just made a few changes here and there.
