''So you text me at 6, and you would expect me to answer?'' Ruby called out on the other side of the line. I was sitting on the bed which was now fixed in my school attire. I was in black jeans, and in a plaid shirt. I did not want to wear the trench coat, because I'm still nervous about last night.
''Yeah..sorry. It's just that I was awake and I was expecting you to be awake too.'' I replied weakly. The memories of last night made my knees wobbly and just made a pit in my stomach.
Ruby exhaled into the speaker, and remained silent for a moment.
''Are you okay though? You never really contact me like that.''
I sighed lightly, hearing silent footsteps approaching, then getting louder once closer. ''Castiel, you have to head over to school!'' Father called out getting closer.
''Ruby, I have to go.'' I said quickly before hanging up. ''I'll talk with you after school.'' Ruby said her goodbye, and then I hung up. I put my device into my pocket, and grabbed my messenger bag off of the bed. I ran out of the room and down the hall, quickly bumping into father.
''O-Oh, my mistake. I have to head out. Bye father.'' I called out over my shoulder as I hurried past him.
Father turned around, and grabbed onto my arm. I flinched, and turned around. Father grabbed out his device. He opened the weather app, and showed it to my face. It was about 11 C°. He closed it, and let go of my arm.
''Castiel, switch into something warmer. Wear your usual trench coat please, I don't want you getting ill. You don't need to worry, you won't be late.'' He said, letting go of my arm. ''The walk there will require time, but grabbing your coat and changing won't waste a lot of time.''
I sent him a small smile, which disappeared quickly once I approached my room. I walked in, and opened the closet which held my clothing. The clothing that caught my eyes first was the long tan trench coat sitting on the hanger. I moved my hand toward the sleeve, and suddenly became nervous. I could hear my heart thumping rapidly in my chest, and my breath running short. This usually happens when I am frightened of something big, I didn't expect this over a dream of light.
I swallowed a huge lump in my throat, and decided to pick out a dressy looking outfit for today. I instantly grabbed my coat with a blue tie and a shirt with its tux. I slipped into it as quickly as possible and went back into the hall. Father was in the kitchen grabbing his mug of coffee, and smiled once he saw me.
''All suited up. Alright, have a good day today, Castiel. Please be safe.'' He approached me and hugged me, planting a kiss onto my forehead. I hugged him back, and made my way down the stairs. I unlocked the front door, and opened it. I shut it behind me and walked down the driveway and onto the sidewalk.
I walked down, going through the direction to my school. I honestly wasn't looking forward to today, or any other day in school. I do get bullied, and I did know that Ruby would question me about today..and I did know that I wouldn't have proper answers to any of the details she would want to reveal.
I licked my chapped lips nervously. I exhaled, and fog escaped my mouth due to the fact that it is very cold outside. I looked up at the sky.
There was something unusual.
But I have seen it before.
When I looked up, it was like the dream. There were clouds everywhere, some big and some small. But there was that one gap which was empty without clouds. It was a circular gap. I looked back down to the ground.
I shook my head and looked at my device in my pocket. I should probably hurry. I do have a quiz first period, and I do need extra time to study. I picked up my pace and continued the path to school.
