''Now.'' He said, gripping onto my shoulder tightly so I won't make any further movement.
I felt everything pause for a moment. My heart's beating stopped, my ear's functioning stopped, my thought process stopped, and it was replaced with a pit in my stomach and a huge lump in my throat. I couldn't even think of anything, I was too stunned. Students passed by slowly, wanting to look at what was going on and suck the gossip as if that was the only thing that kept them alive.
''Why..Why do I need to go?'' I asked, turned around to look at him. He narrowed his eyes and stayed silent, moving his hand from my shoulder to my wrists, and tugged on them before walking off. I was being dragged to his office. All classes were in session, and the hall was slowly reaching empty. We walked to the front, and sirens were heard outside. We headed into the office, and I saw what was outside through the windows.
Police cars were lined up outside along an ambulance. People hopped out of the back doors of the ambulance, pulling out the bed to place the injured on. They cooperated pulling it down, and ran to the door of the school. They easily opened it, and ran in the building. I swallowed the lump in my throat, and the principal came into the office.
''Grab Pamela and take her to the ambulance please.'' He said lowly to the vice principal, and he nodded, taking his leave.
''Well then Castiel, I want an explanation.'' He said, taking his seat on his chair. He opened the drawer, and pulled out the name tag for his desk. 'Mr. Zachariah' was written in bold letters. He stared at me, and pulled out a phone from his pocket.
''This is from one of the students who recorded the incident between you and Pamela.'' He said, dangling it in my face. He turned on the device, and typed in the password he was given by the student. He scrolled through the photo gallery, and then placed it on the desk. He slid it to me, and a video which wasn't played yet showed on the screen.
'Watch it.' Was all he said. I hesitantly clicked it was shaking fingers, and watched the footage. It showed the sudden attack. It showed how everyone was chanting 'fight'. It showed how Pamela wanted to punch me. It showed how Pamela lost her eyes. It showed how Pamela fell to the ground crying. It showed how people came to help her up, and how everyone was in shock and some people were cursing.
I watched the footage and I did seem surprised. The scene was already placed in my head, but the different angle did shock me..Seeing it all happen. Back then, I couldn't register it all by fear and how it was all moving quickly. When it ended I stared at the screen. It was silent, and then my blue eyes looked at Mr. Zachariah. He was looking back at me, waiting for an answer to come out of me. I released a shaky breath. I opened my mouth, but the lumps that kept forming in my throat was pushing back my voice. I wanted to say things, but nothing came out.
I clenched my jaw and shut the device off. Trying to speak again, and this time I actually did budge. ''Why do you think it is me? Why am I even here? In this footage, you clearly saw that I didn't even touch her and she fell. I have no clue why it happened!'' I said in my defensive, noticing my voice got louder at the ending.
''It appears that you were part of this conflict. I cannot find you as a victim or guilty..but this is unusual. You were part of it, and no light appears like that..You stared at her then she went blind. I just need to ask if you know anything about this--''
There was knocking at the door, and it was opened. A police officer has entered, staring at the principal. ''What's the situation?"
Mr. Zachariah turned to me and finished his sentence. ''--because any details are helpful.'' He stood up, and turned his attention to the officer. ''This student here knows more than me.'' They both turned to me and Mr. Zachariah asked to be excused, so he left.
The officer shut the door after he left and sat down on his chair, and smiled at me. He let his hand out, and smiled. ''I am John Winchester. What is your name?'' I stared at his hand for a moment, then connected mine with his. ''My name is Castiel Novak.''
He lost his smile, and turned serious. ''Castiel, we were called because a fight was about to happen, but a female lost sight by her eyes being burnt. You were one of the main people involved, and we asked Pamela but she doesn't understand how it happened. We did tests on her, and her eyes were completely gone, nothing worked. Other crew members are asking specific students who were there, and they all had similar answers - they had no absolute clue why it happened. You're the last person who we could ask. What's the full story?'' He asked. ''With detail please.''
''Well, it did happen before I attended my first class..Which was 8:45AM. I was on time, until I bumped into Pamela. Pamela was carrying her assignments with her tea. When we bumped, we both fell. She dropped the sheets and her tea. Her beverage damaged her sheets which she worked hard on, and she put the blame on me. A gathering of students arrived, singing 'fight' over and over. Pamela was about to act, but all of a sudden she had this..white light burn from her head. It came out of her two eyes, and shot up. It just blasted out for a good five seconds, then she fell. She was crying and said she couldn't see. Smoke was coming out of her eyes after the disaster.''
He nodded thoughtfully for a second and nodded. ''Alright Castiel, some questions. Did you smell anything specific? Or see anything..unusual before the incident?''
I thought for a second, then remembered the dream. The similar light arrived. It burnt Pamela, but I was okay. I also saw the gap in the sky just like the dream. Everything was coming from the dream. I wanted to tell him, but it would seem like I was insane. I tried thinking of any other appropriate evidence, but nothing popped up. So I just shook my head.
''No sir, nothing like that happened.'' I said, glancing up at him. He slowly nodded at me with his arms crossed. ''But there was something.'' I added.
''Something?''
''Well, um..Before her eyes were burnt, and her eyes were still okay, a white spark appeared in her brown eyes. A small spark.'' I said. ''It didn't cover her whole pupil, it was tiny. That is all I know. I didn't touch her, or did any magic.''
He sat for a moment, then stood up. ''Alright, Castiel. I will come in again for some further inspection. But for now, I must look around the school for any other information. I do have an idea, but it'll have to wait for the conformation from the boss. Thanks again, Castiel.'' I stood, and he shook my hand. He smiled at me, and left - replaced by the principal's presence.
''Novak, you are being sent home for early dismissal.'' Mr. Zachariah said at the door. ''When your father was called, he asked for you to walk home. So please head home right now.'' I tucked in the chair, and grabbed my bag, walking past him. ''Please take care of yourself.'' He said and I left in curiosity.
What was his plan?
