Snow Day!!

                You woke up slowly. It was unusually dark for 8 am. You stretched and slipped out of bed. You grabbed your phone and dismissed the alarm before you got a text from your school. "Snow day!!" You squealed and jumped up and down. You grabbed all your winter clothes and headed down the stairs. You pulled on fuzzy snow boots and grabbed your headphones.

You quickly walked the two blocks it took to get to Kevin's house. You wrung the doorbell and were greeted by a disgruntled Kevin. "You need to get a haircut." You informed him. "Good morning to you too." He said sleepily. "Go get dressed!! It's a snow day!" You would have jumped but that would of led to you on your butt in the ice.

You finally drug Kevin out of his house. You both trudged through the knee high snow to Dunkin Donuts to get coffee. After you were both warm and semi-awake, you decided to go to the park near your neighborhood to have a snowball fight.

You shrieked as shockingly cold snow went in your coat. Your numb fingers clawed the icy snow. You chucked the hard snow ball you had made, hitting your target right in the chest. Kevin stumbled and fell on his back. "Are you ok?" You called out, running to him. He tripped you and you landed on top of him. "Oof!"
"Did you pack bricks in your pockets?" Kevin groaned."no." You said and rolled off him. "Sorry."
"It's ok."
"Thanks by the way."
"For what?" Kevin asked.
"For spending time with me." You said shyly. "Oh." Kevin said before rolling on his side and kissing your cheek. He helped you get up, a shocked expression on your face. It faded and you grabbed Kevin's arm. "Come here, nerd." You said before pulling him into a deep kiss.
