Thousands of years ago, every human had a soulmate. Some were lucky enough to be the soulmates of angels. Unfortunately, soulmates are nearly extinct now, especially those privileged with being soulmates to angels. Yet, the Winchester family seemed to be involved with two.
<><><><> Sam and Dean Winchester had told you many times of their many encounters with the annoying trickster archangel. You usually found them funny, somehow never met the infamous Gabriel. You were all hanging out in a hotel room working on a case when Castiel, Dean's soulmate appeared. Directly behind you, he announced his presence. "Hello Dean." "Hey Cas!" Dean said cheerfully, suppressing the urge to laugh at how you nearly jumped five feet in the air. "Cas? Can you not?!" You demanded, but giggling at the way his head tilted. Dean kissed Cas on the cheek, and you and Sam began to fake barf. "Eww! Love! I'm allergic you know!" You exclaimed, immediately bursting into laughter when Castiel looked at Dean with concern. "No, she's not actually allergic to love Cas." "Ah" the angel nodded, as if he had always known that. "Anyway, what did you need Cas?" You asked the trench coat clad angel. "Hey! He could just be coming to see me! His soulmate. " Dean protested, offended and putting emphasis on soulmate. "Actually, I think Gabriel has been messing around here lately. You know taking revenge on those he thinks deserve it." Castiel explain. "Okay. We're on it." <><><> The three of you eventually ended up in a warehouse somewhere trying to find some information about the killings recently. "Um.. Guys I don't think angels leave marks like this." You voiced, pointing at the scratch marks on the floor. Suddenly Castiel, and someone else appeared in the room. "It is not Gabriel." Cas exclaimed, sounding almost out of breath. "You ok Cas?" You asked him, but Dean took a step in between the two of you to look over Cas and make sure he was ok. "Hey! Dean-o! You taken care of my brother." The man with Castiel questioned, causing you to switch your attention to him. "Wow. Your wings are beautiful." You mumbled, clearly awestruck. "Are you kidding me?" Sam grumbled, having heard you. "What?" You asked, turning away from the two angels. "Your soulmates with Gabriel. Only an angel soulmate can see their soulmates wings." Sam explained quietly. "Oh..." Luckily, your "soulmate" hadn't acknowledged your existence yet, so he didn't know. "Sam, you finally find a girlfrie-" he started teasingly but his jaw dropped when you turned around. You gave him a little smile and a wave. "You have beautiful wings, by the way." You said sheepishly. He smiled widely and tackled you in a crushing hug. The motion caused you to take a couple of stumble steps backwards before Gabriel pulled away. "I'm-um-Gabriel." He smiled at you, something you never wanted to end. "Y/n."
