Castiel x Witch!Reader
(supernatural/harry potter cross-over)
Broom Stick
You had met the Winchesters when Dean had almost killed your cat with his car. She had run into the road because as an inside cat, she had little knowledge about avoiding cars. It didn't help that she was black. You knew it was such a cliche to have a black cat, but she had stolen your heart the minute you had laid eyes on her. This is part of the reason you cursed the older Winchester out when he got out of the car to apologize. Ever since then, you had been friends with them, managing to hide the fact that you were a witch.
You had met Castiel when Dean had asked for your help researching a local coven. Ignoring the irony, you helped and you were glad you did. Dean introduced the two of you, the fallen angel unable to find the words to say to you. He admittedly was attractive, but you didn't flirt with him because you knew nothing could happen between the two of you if his angel status was restored. Unfortunately, he did not help you distance yourself from him. He instantly liked you, following you around like a lost puppy. Even your cat loved him, making it so much harder to keep away from him.
One day you came to the bunker per Castiel's request and found him sitting on the couch with a sad look on his face. "Hey Cas, what's wrong?" You asked, sitting next to the sweater-clad angel. "I-um-wanted someone to talk to. Sam is busy and I don't think Dean would care, but I miss flying. A lot."
"I'm sorry Cas." You rubbed his shoulder, thinking it might be okay to reveal your identity to him in order to take him flying. "If you want, Cas, I could take you flying." You decided to admit, biting your lip. "How?" He asked, tilting his head in confusion, truly wanting to know how you could take him flying. You took him to your car and drove him to your house. Once you were situated on the couch, you decided to tell him. "Can you keep a secret? No telling Dean or Sam, okay?" He nodded. "I'm a witch. Not in the worshiping Satan kinda way but have been able to cast spells because of some kind of natural ability." He nodded again, and you hoped he understood. "When I was young I went to a school that was supposed to help people like me develop my natural gift and they also happened to teach us to fly on brooms. So...wanna go for a ride?" You asked, your broom floating over from the closet. "Yes."
Taking him flying and revealing what you really were was one of the best decisions you had ever made. He held onto you, happy energy radiating off of him as you zipped through the clouds. He continued smiling for an entire hour after you had landed. You offered to take him back to the bunker. He stopped you before you opened the door. "Thank you. Truly." He told you, hugging you. You were more than surprised to by this act, but quickly hugged him back. "Of course, Cas. I'd do it anytime for you."
"Why?"
"Because you're one of my closest friends."
"Oh." The confused look was back. "Something wrong?"
"No. Dean had just said something about you wanting to be something other than friends wit me." You froze. You didn't know how to respond as embarrassment shut down your thoughts. "Y/n?"
" Sorry! Maybe, Cas. But I do like being your friend."
"Good! I like having friends."
"I know you do." You told him, finally taking him back to the bunker. "Let me know whenever you wanna fly, Cas." You told him and kissed him on the cheek, making the fallen angel blush.
