Luke

I haven't seen much of that Remy girl, I only really saw her when I woke up. Mum also told me heaps about my friends, she has shown me picture and videos of us. She tells me we are in a band called 5 Seconds of Summer which I kind of remember but not really.
"Luke, you have some visitors" mum walks in informing me of my visitors. In my head I kind of hope its Remy there is just something about her that gives me butterflies but I don't know what it is. I look towards the door that my mother just walked through and see a familiar face and a stranger.
The familiar face being Remy and the boy next to her might be her boyfriend, but I remember him being in the band pictures but I don't know who he is off the top of my head
"Hi Luke, I don't know if you remember me from yesterday but I'm -" I interrupt her
"Your Remy" she looks at me with a massive grin on her face and I could had sworn there was a tear in her eye but I'm not sure
"I-I-I" the tan boy beside her tries to speak but gets caught up his own words and starts breaking down on the ground in tears. I think that I've done something and try to get up to help the boy on the floor but am pushed down by my mum saying
"Luke you can't get out of bed" sighing I lay back down and watch the meltdown in front of me. I see Remy talking to him trying to calm him down.
After a while he recomposes himself and starts introducing himself again
"Sorry about that" his checks turns bright red "But my name is Calum. Maybe you remember me, we were in a band. You, me and our two other best friends Michael and Ashton"
Calum. Calum. The name rings a bell but I can't put it to a face. Well he has a face but I don't know what to put it against.
"5 Seconds of Summer?" I ask checking if we are talking about the same band
"Yeah, that's right. Did you remember that by yourself?" Calum sounds happy that I remembered something before a voice beside me chimes in
"Actually Calum, I told him about the band. I was just showing him a video that you guys filmed" my mum tells the boy. Glancing her watch she gasps
"Sorry kids but I've got to get to work" she reaches over and plants a kiss on forehead "I'll after work, love you Luke. Bye Remy, bye Calum" she rushes out the door almost running into passer byers in the hallway.
Remy comes and sits in the chair that my mum was just sitting in
"How you feeling?" She asks leaning her head on palm. Just watching her is intriguing, she's jut so effortlessly beautiful the way her emerald green eyes glisten in the sunlight or the way her hair just flo-
"Luke? You there?" she giggles. God even her giggle is perfect
"Um yeah" I reposition myself "Yeah I'm feeling fine thanks, yourself?"
She smiles at me "Its weird hearing how I am usually you don't ask me that, but to answer your question I'm fine" I look over at Calum who sat on the couch in the other corner of the room flashing him a small smile
"What about Cal, how are you?" I see Calums ears perk up when he hears that I called him Cal, he grins from ear to ear
"I'm fine, thanks Luke" after that a comfortable silence come over the three of us. I start singing a song in my head
'Even when the sky is falling down
Even when the world is crumbling around my feet'
before I knew it all eyes were on me Calum joined in
'Even when we try to say goodbye
You could cut the tension with a knife in here'
and finally Remy joined in
'Cause I know what would happen if we get through this'
They both look at me in shock but those looks are changed instantly Calum starts grinning like a child on Christmas, were Remy has tears in her eyes.
"I'm sorry, did I do something wrong. I didn't mean it" I start panicking, Remy who is still smiling puts a hand on my arm
"No Luke, you remembered something" she sounds excited. I can feel a smile grow on my face. I remembered something on my own
"Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. I remembered." but my eyebrow furrow in confusion "What did I remember?"
"I wrote that song" Calum says "That song was on the bands first ep"
"On our first episode? We weren't on tv were we?" That comment made both Remy and Calum laugh
"Oh god, you sound like Ashton. Who I have to call and tell him the good news" He excuses himself from the room
"An ep mean an extended play by the way" Remy says beside me
"Tell me about yourself Remy" I wanted to get to know Remy because she is my best friend but I don't know anything about her so hopefully I can learn more about her.
"Well, my name is Remy Madison" she stops and thinks of what to stay "I live at home with my dad Arlo. Oh and I'm 18" she smiles again
"If you don't mind me asking but what happened your mum. Did she move out or something?" I notice her smile fades and she get more tears in her eyes, she swallows a lump in her throat pushing back the tears
"She died last summer, Australia day. She had a heart attack and died in the hospital." her voice starts to crack toward the end. I give her a sad smile and give her a head nod to say come over.
She carefully lays her petite frame on the bed next to me and rest her head in my chest. I start running my fingers through her hair
"Shh, shh your okay. I'm here, I've got you" I whisper. The last sentence I say to her surprises me
"I love you"

I'm so proud of myself, I wrote 1000 words, but I feel like I want him to remember things every chapter to kind of keep it moving along. I don't want to bore anyone. Nice comments are much appreciated. Thanks xx
