"She looks hot but she acts cold."

*Winter Woods*

I stopped my home workout when my phone keeps on ringing. I put down the barbel and drink on my bottled water.

I grabbed my phone from my sala's table and saw the registered number of Sab calling.

"What?" I answered with heavy breathing.

[Ma'am the Blessed Hands Foundation called me and they said that they will be having a thanksgiving for the buildings you donated and for the other donors of the orphanage.]

"So?" I asked uninterested.

[Sabi po kasi nila na ang thanksgiving event po na 'yon ay pasasalamat po sa mga nareceive na donations ng foundation para sa mga benefactors. Especially the buildings you donated ma'am. They want you to be present on the thanksgiving to thank you personally. The program will be on the last day of the month.]

I gazed at my calendar and saw it's the third week of the month. So the event will be one week from now.

"You know my answer Sab."

[O-kay ma'am.]

Good she can catch me up easily.

"By the way, were the toys delivered?"

[Yes ma'am and it was also distributed to the children.]

"Good."

[They're also sending you their warm thank you ma'am, faculties and staffs of the hospital. The children also want to see you.]

I didn't respond for minutes.

"I'll be going Sab. Just talk to the BHF's event okay?" I sighed.

[Okay ma'am Winter.]

I ended the call. I grabbed my towel and wiped my sweats.

Actually, giving is no big deal to me. A simple thank you is okay.

*Summer Carter*

"Happy Lord's Day po!" Masayang sabi ko kay Lola Vita ng makipagkamay ako sakanya at nagmano. Katatapos kasi ng Sunday service. "Pagpalain ka ng Panginoon apo." 

"Anak mauuna na kaming umuwi ng mommy at kapatid mo." Bahagya akong tinapik ni Dad kaya napaligon ako sakanya.

"Yes Dad sige po, susunod na lang po ako sa bahay. Ingat po sa pagmamaneho." 

"Sige anak, ingat ka rin sa pagmamaneho." Ngumiti si Dad. "Opo." Maikling tugon ko.

"Bye kuya tag-init! See you sa bahay. Happy Lord's day ulit!" Humalik pa si Sunshine sa pisngi ko at patakbong sumunod kina Dad na pumasok na sa kotse. Napansin ko naman si mommy na nag-wave ng goodbye kaya't itinaas ko rin ang aking kamay upang magpaalam.

"Happy Lord's Day Summer." Lumingon ako sa likod ako. Isang ngiti ang nakaukit sa mukha ni Elizabeth habang inaabot ang kanyang kamay upang makipag-shakehands. She's one of my church friends. Ngumiti rin ako sakanya at inabot ang kamay niya. "Happy Lord's day Elizabeth."

Sabay kaming nagbitaw ng kamay. "Kumusta na Summer? Long time no see."

"Oo nga hehe, blessed pa rin naman, ikaw ba? Tagal mo ring nawala ah."

"Oo nga eh, 2 years contract rin kasi sa Korea." Ngumiti siya na mas nagpaliit pa sa singkit niyang mata. English teacher kasi siya ro'n.
