PJ's POV

Rydel: Hey, y'all wanna sleep over in our room instead?

Me: Umm... Alright I guess?

Wolf Thoughts

SJ: What are you doing? You know we only require 3 hours of sleep and we pretty much slept enough. And we need to keep lookout!

Me: Dude chill, I just didn't want to hurt her feelings. We can still keep lookout. Just make sure they're all asleep and keep our guard up

SJ: Okay, we are pretty good at that anyway. We're super alert!

Me: Yeah, got that right bro. Okay enough cuz I can sense that the others' are finding it weird we're staring at each other and not saying anything or moving

End of wolf thoughts

Ross: Hello? Earth to Chesires!

SJ: Oh sorry, we were just having a staring contest. I win by the way

Me: Damn you dude!

Ross: Hey I wanna VS you!

SJ: Okay!

Ross and SJ glared at each other until Ross' eyes started twitching madly

Ross: Okay! OKAY! You win! How the hell did you do that?

SJ: Me and my sis always do that. Training in other words

They all took turns with SJ and one another

Ryland: So... You wanna try out with me?

PJ: Sure! I don't see why not!

We started staring into each other's eyes with full concentration. I could feel the rest stop and stand around us looking from Ryland's face to mine

Soon I started hearing Ryland's thoughts

Ryland's thoughts: Wow, her hazel brown eyes are so... Breathtaking. STOP IT RYLAND! I wish she knew how much I- Full concentration!

Soon, we were both blinking back tears

Ratliff: And it's a tie!

Riker: Who wants to watch Smurfs? I mean, it is in TV. Afterwards, lights out. We're going adventuring tomorrow!

As soon as the TV flicked on, and the lights were turned out. I went into full night stealth mode, it's a werewolf thing. We all sat down on the floor leaning on each other in comfortable positions. Ryland leaning on my left and my brother on my right. Soon, the movie ended and everyone but me and SJ were out like lights

Wolf Thoughts

SJ: Okay, haven't smelt any vamps have you?

Me: Nope. Hear anything?

SJ: Dude, we only have super hearing in wolf form. Everything else for some reason is also possible as human

Me: Are you suggesting we phase?

SJ: I guess so...

Me: Let's go outside to the corridor and phase

SJ: Okay. Be sure not trod on anyone

Me: Dude I ain't that heavy

SJ: You ain't heavy at all

We both tiptoed across the Lynches and Ratliff and looked back to make sure none of them were awake. We were soon out the door and phased

Wolf thoughts

Me: Okay, let's not split up okay? Thank god our clothes don't come off as we phase

SJ: Surprisingly yes. Okay, you don't reckon they'll go to the Lynch room right?

Me: To make sure, we both know what vampires don't like

Both: Werewolf hair

SJ: Thank god they can't stand the smell of werewolves

Me: Yeah Lets go back in and out it surrounding them until the bath room and kitchen. Heck lay them out everywhere

We laid out our hairs nicely and protectively around the Lynches and Ratliff

Yeah weird, pulling out our hair. Ah... The things we do for the R5...

As soon as we were done, we went to the door instead of going out the the corridor and phased. Facing the Lynches, we watched over them like protectors

Wolf thoughts (I'm sorry it's continuous but this chapter is kinda mostly wolf thoughts)

Me: Hey Seb, you know how we can only hear other werewolves' thoughts or as we thought so?

SJ: What do you mean?

Me: Well, just now during the staring competition with Ry-

SJ: AWW so sweet!

Me: Dude, shut up. I concentrated real hard and started to read his mind

SJ: Oh was he thinking dirty?

Me: No, I heard "Wow, her hazel brown eyes are so... Breathtaking. STOP IT RYLAND! I wish she knew how much I- Full concentration!"

SJ: AWW! You remembered word for word! He's totally into you

Me: You know, I swear you sound like a girl sometimes. And I can't depend on that. I need to hear it out loud for myself from the man himself

SJ: Fine. Hey maybe we should get a little rest, we'd be able to hear anything still while still phased and yet asleep. Get up slightly earlier before the rest so we can phase back and keep the hairs

Me: Okay. Night Seb!

SJ: Good night sis!

I hope it wasn't a vampire in our room earlier. I really don't want anyone of the Lynches not Ratliff getting hurt. They're practically our family now. I've always wanted a family like them. And of course with SJ

What was Ryland thinking though? Was he gonna think "I wish she knew how much I liked her"? Nah it can't be. I look nowhere near pretty nor perfect. And I'm too young for him. A year younger, too much? I've never felt anything like this since my first crush

Grade 5's Jerome. He was one of the shorties, even shorter than me that for sure. He had huge eyes that sparkled in the moonlight. Apparently he saw right through me and started ignoring me. 2 years had that crush lasted and 2 years worth of feelings gone. He went for the class prettiest yet most bitchiest girl, Tiffany. She seemed picture perfect in every single way. She could sing and she was pretty. Her grades weren't too bad though. Only thing was, she couldn't act even if her life had depended on it. Which was something I used to try and impress Jerome. Nothing worked of course. I soon figured that I should give up

But Ryland is different. The feelings are back stronger than before but for a different person. Hopefully it doesn't end like the previous one did... I don't think I can face another rejection
