Chapter 34

PJ's POV

As my bro and I walked into the living room, we saw that all the Lynches were glue to the TV. All but Ryland. He was nowhere in sight

"Hey guys. Where Ry?" I asked curiously looking around for Ryland

"He went up to our room to take a shower" Ross replied not taking his eyes off the screen.

I murmured a quick thanks and ran upstairs to Ross and Ry's room

"Ryland. You done there buddy? Can I come in?" I ask while knocking the door

No answer

I tried again and eventually gave up. I went in anyways only to find the bathroom completely dry and well, Ryland-free

"Ryland. This is not funny! Come out come out wherever you are" I search under his bed and in his closet

Oh no... The window is WIDE open

I stick my head out of the windows and squint in the darkness searching for Ryland

Drat. No sign of him

I started to write a quick note to leave for the Lynches if they can looking for us

"Guys,

Relax. Ry and I are on a date at the beach. Don't worry. We'll be back soon. Love ya!

Love

PJ xox"

I sent a quick mental message to my brother telling him the situation and that I'll tell him through howling how it's going it we need help and that he need not come looking for us unless told. I also told him to keep the Lynches calm and so on blah blah blah

I'm pretty sure he got the message since it WAS directed to HIM and him only

With that done, I phased and jumped out of the window. I sniffed around and eventually caught Ry's scent

Seems like I'm kinda hot on the trail to him. After about 5 minutes, I find him huddled up IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FOREST

I bounded towards him and started sniffing him frantically

Good. He hasn't been touched by a single leech

And he's still fast asleep despite being poked by my nose a couple of times. Wow... HEAVY SLEEPER ALERT!!

I howled to let my brother know that I had found Ry and that we were both alright

Ryland stirred in his sleep and rubbed his eyes. Oh now he decides to wake up... -.-

I nuzzle my snout in his neck which causes him to giggle

"Hey Peaches! Whaddup?" he asked casually sitting up

Tacky nickname alert. Ladies and Gents, MY Ryland xD

I phased back and embraced him in a tight hug which took him by surprise but he hugged back

"Dude! Where were you? You scared the freaking living crap outa me!" I exclaimed, hugging him tighter

"What? What are you? Oh okay wow. I sleep walk I guess... Err well kinda" he explained sheepishly, scratching the back of his neck

"Well, don't do that! I thought they had gotten you!"

"Who is- OHH!! Sorry I didn't mean to scare you..." he looked down guiltily

I pulled him into a bear hug and told him it was okay

"Hey we better get back before the others realize we are gone or before they start worrying" I get up brushing myself off of the leaves and soil

"Okie dokes! But I can't remember how to get back. I mean I do but it's all dark out and stuff..."

"Hey, werewolf instincts. Jump on my back once I phase"

He gave me a look that said "You mad bro?"

"Dude just get on"

I phase and he hops on

The minute I start running, I feel his grip around my neck tighten

Within minutes, we're at the Lynch household and I phase back after he climbs off my back

"Come on. Let me give you a boost and you can climb onto the branch and into your window" I say holding out my hands

Mind you, I'm pretty strong, flexible and athletic. Don't underestimate me just cuz I'm a girl

He steps on my hands and I push him up and soon, he's on the branch and into his window

I run up the tree and push off once I'm at the same level of the window and land nicely in his room

Kinda like how Jacob did in New Moon when he snuck into Bella's room to apologize or something

Ry stares at me with his mouth wide open

"Close your mouth boy. Don't underestimate me" I say in a western accent smirking

He turns a deep shade of red and murmurs that he's gonna take a quick shower and heads off to the bathroom

I saw that the note I left was untouched

Huh. Seems like no one but my bro knows we were gone. He must've kept them down there. Thanks bro!

I quickly go and get changed in Rydel's room and come back in lying down on Ryland's bed and dozed off
