(A/N: This was a chapter was from December 2015, figured I may as well just publish it and wrap up this old book.)

I wake up slowly, still half-asleep but acknowledging the fact of being awake. I hear the birds outside, the distant roar of traffic. A car goes past the house, awakening me a little more. "Sunshine, you are my sunshine~" I smile a little, recognising Derp's hoarse voice. "You make me happy, when skies are grey~" I grip my pillow a little tighter, snuggling into its warmth. Derp's voice turns a little sad. "You'll never know, just how much I love you...~" I open one sleepy eye; he sighs. "So please don't take, my, sunshine, away..." I sit up as he draws the curtains open, leaning on my window sill. I let my gaze roam over him, from his long legs up to his slim midriff and wiry arms; his head is turned a little to the side, revealing one icy-blue eye, half of his soft beard and his pink pale lips. His face still looks gaunt with black shadows under his eyes. I shift a little on the air bed and he turns round, his trademark derp grin on his face. "Did yah like my singing?" I blush, a genuine 'yes' being my reply at his trusting gaze. He giggles. "Thanks. I'm always the first up by the way so I came to ask if you wanted to have breakfast with, um, me?..." I nod before getting up, smiling at him. I grab my shirt from yesterday and pull it on. I realise I can feel someone's gaze on my lower back. My face burns and I get a weird feeling in my stomach, my heart somersaulting spontaneously in my chest. I turn back to Derp and though he's diverted his gaze to the window I know it was him. Then we found out he was gay... I blink. What if he's only looking at me because I'm a guy? I try not to feel upset. I shouldn't of got my hopes up; after all, we only met yesterday! But I still feel that hunger in my stomach and it's not for breakfast. I sigh, leaving the room and my thoughts, Derp following soon after. I enter the kitchen, greeting Ian who is making coffee. Guess Ian got up earlier than usual today. "Morning." He smiles at me. "Hey dude, sleep well?" I nod. "Yes thanks." He starts boiling the kettle again. "Tea or coffee?" "Tea please." I sit down at the table and reach for the newspaper.

I stand at the counter beside Ian, gazing at Crainer wistfully. "Hey dude, what's up?" Ian whispers. I sigh. "I think I'm in love." His eyes widen. "Really?! With who?" I swallow, looking at the ground. "Um..." He nudges me a little, smirking. "C'mon dude you can tell me." I shut my eyes. "It's Crainer." Silence from Ian. The kitchen is quiet but for him turning the newspaper pages. Ian pours out the water from the kettle. "Oh, right. I see." I whimper, sitting up on the side counter and folding my hands in my lap. Ian approaches me. "That's ok though. There's always a chance dude." I dig the heel of my hand into my eye, killing the tears that were gathering in it. "Yeah right. A freak like me?" Ian rests his hand on my arm reassuringly before returning to the tea. "Sugar and milk Crainer?" He looks up and my heart flutters at his perfect green eyes. "Um yeah, one sugar please." I take a deep breath before sitting down beside Crainer at the table. I had a sudden urge to tell him how I felt; I purses my lips, staring at the table. He puts his newspaper down, smiling at me. "So Derp, erm, how did you sleep?" I lift one shoulder. "Alright. I got cold though in the night." Ian puts the cups of tea down on the table. "Cold just like your souuuuullll!" I giggle at his raspy morning voice and Crainer just rolls his eyes. "No one has a cold soul Ian. Most people are just misunderstood." I rub the back of my hand. Ian glances at me with a smirk before going upstairs to get ready. I sit back in my chair, looking at my tea on the table. Crainer looks at me. "Dude, are you okay?" I nod. He blinks, then looks at his own tea before picking it up. "So you gonna play Minecraft with us today?" I look at him. "Yeah, if you want me around." He blinks again and I curse messing that sentence up. "I-I mean, if you want to." He starts to smile as I curse myself again. "Yes. I will. There, I got it that time! Jeez..." He laughs a little and places the paper on the table, bringing his cup to his lips. "So you get cold at night? I think Ian switched the heating on last night but..." I sigh. "Yeah but, I have a double bed so, one side gets colder than the other. If you know what I mean?..." He nods slowly and I internally facepalm. "Sorry I've made this awkward." I go to stand up and he lowers his cup. "Hey uh, you didn't make it awkward. You can stay..." He smirks. "Cus I kinda like having you around." I know he's mocking me a little from messing up my replies to him earlier but I feel myself smile nontheless. "Oh really?" I sit back down again, Crainer sipping his tea again. "So uh, when did you start doing Ian's intro's for him?" I scratch the back of my neck. "Well..."

Crainer and Derp grew closer in the weeks to come, and eventually, Ian blurted out that Crainer had feelings for the crooked eyed man, which in then lead him to confessing his mutual affections towards him. They are now in a very happy, and loving relationship.Sometimes, love really is like it is in the movies.
