YOUR POV
So, where did you come from exactly? If you are a demon... how did you loose your memory? How did you end up on a shore, broken and tatrered? Do demons have families? . . . Something more terrifying instantly came to mind.
Had you hurt anyone before?
Had you killed innocent people?
Had you enjoyed watching the world burn and others suffer around you?
These questions would forever haunt you... because if you had, you could never truely be a hero. You could never be anything more than a monster trying to make up for what horrors you brought upon people.
Finn proded you with his finger in your shoulder, prying you away from your thoughts of yesterday's depressing events. You look up at the blonde boy, who offers a smile of sympathy.
"Still all mopey?"
"I guess..."
He sat down on the grass next to you, a stick in his hand and a peice of wheet in his mouth. His body is pressed close, making you blush faintly. How could he even be near you when he knows what deformity you are?
"Finn, can we go do something? ... I need to clear my head." He seemed to brighten at the proposal. "Of course! There's still a lot to ooo that you haven't seen. Like secret dungens and caverns and- OH- We should totally head to this awesome cool secret place that is beyond anything and everything ever!"
The wording there certainly peeked your intrest, so you offered a small smile with a nod, letting him help you stand up. "Is Jake coming with us too?" You ask, though a small part of you doesn't want the dog around. He's awesome to no extent, but you wanted this to feel ... wait did you want it to feel like a date? Well, a girl slash demon can dream can't she?
"Nah, he doesn't know about this place. It's super secret, okay?"
"Got it" You say excitedly. Not only are you going alone, but this is something Jake doesn't even know about! He was entrusting you with secrets he hadn't even told his brother!
"Great, this way!" Finn started running in the direction of the nearby forest to your treehouse, laughing as he sped off. Quickly, you raced after him, feeling your worries peel away along with the wind.
You wound through the trees after your hero, ignoring the few branches that scraped your skin as the forest became more dense and hills became larger. You were having too much fun to really feel it anyway!
After a long run, both of you came to a stop in a clearing, out of breath and panting heavily. When you finally looked around the sight before you made you gasp in awe. Below you, a waterfall pooled into a small pond with a field of flowers streatching out farther than the eye could see. They appeared to be lavenders, filling the air with a relaxing aroma.
Finn took off his hat and his backpack, as well as his shirt.
"U-um, what are you doing?" You ask with a dark blush as he pulled up his pants legs and took off his shoes and socks next.
"Going for a swim. Wanna join?" Finn asked and looked around , spotting what he was looking for and started to look through vines of one of the many swamp trees in the clearing.
You look down below you at the water rushing out from the stream you stand beside, and then back to Finn hanging onto a vine. A sense of determination fills you, and you drop your equipment, roll up your sleeves and take off your shoes, fumbling for a sturdy vine near Finn.
He gives you a high five before pushing back and running at the cliff, vine in hand. Once it had swung all the way out he leg go, arms and legs flailing as he droped into the water below with a howl of laughter. You follow just behind him, screaming loudly as the ground is no longer below you, and the vine is no longer in your grip.
A splash soon follows your fall and then you scramble up for air, laughing as Finn slpashes you right as you break through to the surface. You splash him back, laughing as he dives under the water to where you can no longer see him.
The both of you swam for hours before clambering back up the rocks and sitting on the cliff with your legs dangling over to dry off. He had brought sandwiches and chips, so you both had lunch with the view before you.
Finn grabbed his backpack again and slowly opened it, smiling as you curiously tilted your head.
"I thought, since you're a hero and all, you'd like a little gift for completing training and all." He said and handed you a peice of white and black fabric.
You took it and examined it, slowly realizing what it was.
A panda hat, much like his besides the fact the ears were black.
"I had treetrunks help me make it, since I can't sew." He said with a small blush, rubbing his neck as he giggled nervously.
You felt a warm glow sorround you both, and you set the hat down before leaning over, and without realizing you actions, you kissed Finn square on his lips.
