Your POV
After brushing aside the new information about the locket and eating breakfast, Finn and yourself decided to embark on an adventure around ooe.
You had revisited the Candy Kingdom, Goblin Kindom, Fire Kingdom, and even Lumpy Space! There were only a few other places to explore that Finn had suggested, and the sun was already starting to near the horizon.
"Choose Goose!" Finn exclaimed loudly, gasping.
"What?" You asked with a small laugh.
"He's an amazing barter, I bet he has a cool sword we could get you!"Your eyes widen and your jaw dropped, still smiling with glee. "A real sword!?" Finn nodded, patting your shoulder as you walked onwards.
"We better hurry though, his shop will close by sunset. Race you!" He took off, heading in a straight line down the path before you. You howled in laughter and took off after him, easily catching up.
There was a noodle looking goose who giggled and smiled as you approached, flapping about excitedly.
"Ah, if it isn't Finn and Jake, with a new lady friend at my wake. Hello you three, how do you do? What can item I get you from my travels over ooe?" Talk about a rhyme master...
"Choose goose, we need a sword for Madame l/n here, who is strain by to be a hero." He said and clenched his fist. "And by my hero's word she will have a sword worthy of her wield!"
"A sword you seek, and I have a good one you may keep!" He pulled out a silver short sword with an engravement in the hilt, one that resembles your pendant.
"I don't think that there is a price you need to pay me, this sword is free here for the lovely lady!" He handed it to you, and you slowly took it and wave it a twist. It was light, and felt like a sharp extension of your arm rather than a chunk of sharp metal, as a sword should feel.
"Choose goose, where did you find it, this sword?" Finn asked suspiciously, glancing down at the eerie inscription. The goose man shrugged.
"Guess it's alright, see you!" You all left back home, ending the tour and snuggling up back home while you watched Finn and Jake play games on BMO. The sword sits on your side in its hilt, custom made for you as a small gift from your new friends. Everything so far had been great. Especially those apple pies Tree Trunks made you. How many had you eaten? Three?
"Danget!" Finn cursed and lolled his head back with an exasperated sigh. Jake snorted and punched his human companion's shoulder playfully. "Dude you used to be great at this game."
"Yeah, whatever." Finn crossed his arms and smirked. "It's only a matter of time before I'm better than you at something else anyway." Jake let out a gasp of fake hurt and rolled his eyes. The phone rang before Jake could make another comeback and you picked it up.
"Hello?"
"f/n? It's princess bubblegum, we have a problem!" Screaming could be heard in the background, along with some sort of lightning or laser sound and mad cackling. "Please get here quick!" The phone died and Finn grabbed his sword.
"Looks like you've got your first real mission!" Finn said and grabbed your hand, tossing you to Jake who caught you with a chair out of his back skin. Finn hopped onto his dog friend next to you and all three of you made your way out the door and towards the candy kingdom.
When you arrived you could see that the entire kingdom was covered in ice and snow, and everything had a bluish tint to it. Even the gumball guardians were covered in the frozen water.
"Ice king!" Finn and Jake cursed the name simultaneously. You only nodded and drew your sword, holding onto the pendant that you had put on a necklace chain for safe keeping. It was oddly comforting, it made you feel like you could do anything.
Princess Bubblegum came running at you three with a crappily made hood on, flailing her arms. Jake stopped and shrank, you and Finn landed on the ground with ease and looked to the sky to see if Ice king could be spotted. Thankfully, he didn't seem to be anywhere as of yet.
"What happened?" You ask worriedly, looking everything over. You hated the cold, and were wearing a thin tank-top, so to you it was freezing. PB let her breath catch up with her before explaining.
"Ice king said that he's moving in! But as soon as he came into my castle THIS happened! This is redonculous!" She said and threw her arms in the air with an exasperated growl.
"We can handle this." Finn said with a smile, his eyes fixed on the tower from her castle. "Is he in the throne room or...?"
"He's in my room... He thinks I'm going to sleep with him or something."
"That's donk." You say with a roll of your eyes. PB nodded in agreement, sighing and looking up at her tower.
"Let's go, Jake!" Finn said and grabbed your hand, jumping back onto the dog's back at he stretched upwards towards the castle. You wrap one arm around Finn's lower stomach to keep yourself steady, though blushing heavily as you do.
Finn smiled back at you and held up his sword. "Alright I'm going to throw you in through the window and you'll roll in all ninja style. I'll be in there right after you." He said in a whisper tone. You nod with a determined smile, letting go of your pendant and letting him grab your arms to throw you.
He throws you with such force that you do a flip before you tuck your knees in and hit the floor of the tower, rolling inside and hardly even feeling the ground hit you. You bring your sword to Ice king's surprised face with a smirk. Finn quickly joined you, nodding in praise that you had done it so easily.
Ice king growled. "What do you want? Can't you see I'm waiting on my princess?" He demanded angrily. You both rolled your eyes.
"Princess Bubblegum doesn't want you dude. Get over it and leave." Finn said and took a step back. You followed foot and removed your sword from his face, scowling at him. Ice king crossed his arms.
"And why should I listen to you?"
"Because if you don't then we're gonna give you a good butt woopin'!" Finn said and did a karate chop through the air. He slowly uncrossed his arms and seemed to think it over.
"Fine. But only because that demon is with you." He said and looked you over.
You growled at the insult, gripping your sword tightly, and your other fist was clenched around your pendant. Finn pressed his fist against Ice king, punching his beard roughly. The old man let out a yelp of pain and doubled over screaming about how his beard was in pain. His wallowing soothed your ears, like a lullaby.
"Take that back right now!" Finn yelled angrily.
"Take what back?!" Ice king asked in confusion and pain.
"YOU just called her a demon!"
"It's what she is! How can you not tell?"
"Listen here you crazy old man, she is not a bad person, if anyone here is a demon it's you!" HE yelled and went to kick him again, but Ice king held up his hands.
"No- listen. Jake's a dog. You're a human. She's a demon. It's her species. I'm not insulting her! I swear!" The room fell silent and you took a step back at Finn looked to you in confusion.
"What? But you're human... She's human." Finn's gaze pointed back down to the old man on the floor. "Right?"
You knew that that could be a possibility. Maybe that's why the pendant was so scary looking? Maybe that's why you have crazy agility and stamina with little to no training? Maybe that's why you were just enjoying the Ice King's screams of pain?
"I think so..." You slowly said back. While you were distracted Ice King made a bolt for the window, flying away with his beard with mad cackling.
"Have fun with your demon friend, Finn the human!" He said back with a wave, slowly disappearing into the horizon.
The blue tint of the room slowly faded and Princess Bubble gum bust down the door with Peppermint Butler by her side, her eyes wide. "Where is it? Where's the demon!? My scanner is going crazy now that it's unfrozen!"
