Chapter 6: Part 1

“You missy have some explaining to do.” I snapped as soon as I was in front of India.

She gave me a confused expression. “What I do?” She said as if she had no clue what I was talking about.

“Why did you send Cayden to get me? You know how I feel about him.”

When I said that, her eyes lit up. “Yeah I know, but I was merely doing both of you a favor. Besides, he overheard me talking to you and thought it be funny if he went to get you instead.”

“And that’s funny to you?” I shook my head. “Thanks to you, look at what Mr. Badass left on my neck.”

I pulled my scarf down and showed her the new fresh love bites he left on my neck yesterday. She squealed and had a huge smirk on her face.

“What were you two doing last night?” She winked.

“Ha, ha, ha. Very funny.” I said sarcastically.

I shifted my scarf to where it hid my neck. My neck now looks as though someone took their anger out on it. I wonder if Cayden hid my Love bites, I hope he doesn’t. It would make me think a little different of him if he shows them for everyone to see. It probably put a smile to my face.

“Why won’t you two just go with each other, what’s stopping you? Besides the same lame excuse of his playboy ways.”

She shut her locker door and we began to walk to lunch together.

“Well, to be honest, nothing else really. I’m really thinking about giving him a chance. He makes me feel wanted; he makes my life more interesting. And, I don’t know. I just feel as though we both fit, like a missing puzzle piece. You know what I mean?”

She smiled and nod her head.

“What’s got you smiling hard?” I asked her when I noticed she was smiling a little bit to hard.

“Nothing, its just you two are perfect for each other. Maybe you should consider it. He hasn’t been with no one else since the day he met you.”

I stopped in my tracks and crossed my arms. “Yeah and how can you be so sure of yourself?”

“Duh, because I live with, near his house.” She corrected herself quickly.

I gave her a confused look. “You never told me this before? I never knew you lived near him.”

I noticed her quickness of her words and nervousness after she fixed her wording up. I didn’t say anything of it because maybe she did just get her words twisted.

“I just never thought it was important.” She said nervously, twitching her eyes just a bit.

Seeing her do that, made me become suspicious. “India, am I missing something here?”

She shook her head and started to nibble on her lip. What’s making her so nervous?

“Are you okay? You look a little nervous.” I asked getting a little worried.

First its Cayden and his quickness of change of eye color, now its India and her nervous stance.

“No, I’m not nervous, why would you think that?”

I raised an eyebrow and pointed towards her twitching eye. “That kind of gives it away.”

She began to ramble on about how she’s not nervous and she attends to do that often, that I forgot why we were even talking about nervousness in the first place. I hushed her up, and made my way into the lunch room.
