"Mitch?"
Someone was calling my name. What was their problem? I needed my beauty sleep. I turned away from the voice and pushed my face into my pillow.
"Wake up, we have to go."
Wait- was that Avi's voice? Why was Avi waking me up? Why was he next to me in my bed? Did we have sex?
I opened my eyes just a bit to see what was going on. This wasn't my room. Was I in a hotel? Did I have sex with Avi in a hotel? What the fuck was going on?
Avi grabbed my shoulder and shook it once more. "Why do you have to take so long to wake up?" He said, exasperated.
Suddenly I remembered everything that'd happened the day before. I was with Avi in a hotel room because we were on our way to his family. Right. No sex. Sadly.
I turned around again and found myself staring into Avi's eyes, our faces only inches apart. I leaned up on one elbow, using my other hand to rub my eyes.
"Why are you waking me up so early? What time is it anyway?"
"It's eight, come on, I was planning on leaving at seven so we could at least spend the afternoon there," He whined.
"Alright, I'm getting up, just give me a minute," And with that I put my head in my pillow again and pulled the blankets over myself.
"Come on Mitch, don't make me do this,"
Make him do what? O shit, the bastard wasn't going to-
Avi pulled away the blankets and started tickling my sides mercilessly. I twisted underneath him, trying to get away from his hands but he was straddling me and I couldn't move.
"Stop it, Avi! I'm serious!" I yelled, pushing against his chest to get him off me.
Finally he stopped, grinning at me.
"Awake now?"
"Very, thanks a lot." I snapped back. "And could you maybe get off me now? You're kinda heavy."
Avi looked down and finally realized how compromising the position we were in was. He scrambled off me, his face beet red. I laughed at how awkward he was all of a sudden. I loved seeing him blush, and I used to be able to make him with just a flirty remark. Sadly, he'd grown immune to my constant flirting and now it was nearly impossible to make him blush.
I hopped out of bed and started getting ready. After several minutes I finally decided on an outfit and I shut my suitcase and grabbed my stuff, putting it next to Avi's luggage.
"Ready to go?" I asked him, stuffing my phone in my pocket.
"Took you long enough," he just answered.
"Not my fault, you should've woken me up earlier!" I shot back and opened the door.
We made our way downstairs and outside, and I sighed with relief when I could finally breathe fresh air again. The windows in that place probably hadn't been opened in years.

I could notice we were getting closer to our destination when Avi's face started lighting up every time he recognized something.
We were now actually in the mountains, and you could tell by the landscape that had gotten rougher, and the snow-covered peaks in the distance."How long till we're there?"
"About an hour and a half, I think," he checked his phone and nodded.
"Who's gonna be there anyway, I mean I know that your parents and grandparents are gonna be there, and Esther of course. Who else?"
Avi thought for a moment. "My brother, his girlfriend, my two uncles and their wives and my little niece and nephew."
"Whoa, that's a lot. Sixteen people in one house."
"It's gonna be a bit crowded this year but hopefully it's gonna fit."
Thinking about spending a week with people I'd never met before made me feel a bit anxious again. I really hoped Avi's family was as nice as he said.

A/N
Ok this chapter ended in a weird place but I don't have any inspiration right now and it kinda sucks. The story is almost over though, and I'll finally be able to go to sleep at a normal time again. (If I weren't such a procrastinator I would be too but yeah that's not gonna happen.)
Thanks for reading, ily all!
