Chapter XXIX

"You need to leave, Natsu." Zeref said seriously as I glance at the pink haired princess. It's obvious that she doesn't want to go. Well after all, she argued about wanting to stay by Zeref's side. She said she was tired of running, she's always stubborn, I wonder if giving up is in her vocabulary. I doubt it...

"You'll be with Rin, Sting, Lucy and Gray in this... Erza would like to accompany you but we need her here." Zeref pulled a smile as I and Rin stared at eachother for a second. Why us? "You of everyone here is close to her, if you value someone so much you'll eventually do your best to protect them."

"As they say, the power of feelings is stronger than magic~..." I don't know why my face is burning. Feelings? Love? Is Zeref talking about us loving her most? Oh fuck, but-

I mentally slap myself hearing Lucy's voice saying that.

"Before I'd leave." Natsu uttered as she lifted her hand into the air. A huge magical circle covered the whole guild as I felt something on my chest... And since my shirt went missing earlier I saw a gold patern on my chest but it later desappeared so did the magic circle. "That's the 9th life... Also known as cat life."

Wha-?

"You will not die unless your head is cut off," what a scary magic. Natsu's capable of doing such thing?! Even if she's the demon of life and death, i did not expect that...

"Seriously?" Laxus uttered as Natsu smiled at him playfully.

"I'm the demon of life and death, if I want someone dead, then he would be dead. If I want someone to live, he would live." I shouldn't probably mess with her. It's just too dangerous. "Although my flames are enough to be scare people, considering it killed Acnologia."

"May I call the presence of the Spriggan 12?" She ask as the said mages immediatly knelt in front of her, except God Serena who spinned, posed and finally knelt. This guy used to be the strongest in Ishgar? -_-

"Do not leave your allies sides, and if brother says he's fine alone don't listen to him." She said with authority as Zeref sweat drop.

"I'm still-"

"Even he's the Emperor don't listen to that order." She said. "Just protect him, he tends to be suicidal."

"I won't die, we won't die... You'll always have a home here..." Zeref approach her helding her hand, as she began to cry. She covered her eyes with her arm as sobs filled the atmosphere.

"You better not, Idiot."

"Yeah, I'll make sure you'll still have a place called home." They embrace each other, siblings must be really nice.

~3 days later

"Hey Gray." Woaw, Rin finally spoke to me after a long time as I just shifted my gaze from the blue sky to him. Natsu's sleeping since she's having a hard time riding the carriage, it's annoying how she sleeps beside Sting, his arm being her pillow. I want to hit him...

"Jealous are we?" My face burned red as he was smirking. Why would I be jealous?! Jealous that Natsu's sleeping in Sting's arm?! Not a chance!

"No-no I'm not!" I said looking away, as Rin laugh.

"You obviously are." Now my face burned into a deeper shade of red, my head began to smoke due to the blood's heat. I feel like my whole body is hot... Wait... That sounds erotic...>\\\< "pfft, another love rival eh?"

"I don't-!!!"

"Hush, I'm a guy to I know." I don't really!

"I'm sorry by the way." He smiled sadly, i blink. He has a side like this? I'm surprise... This is rather rare and shocking. "I didn't know about your father."

"It's okay, I understand... It's actually nice to see someone honest with his feelings." We momentarily laugh.

"Well, I still won't lost."

"Shut it."

"By the way."

"Hmm?"

"What she's doing here again?" He glance at the girl hugging me at her sleep as I grouned. I didn't notice her!

"Just a crazy stalker of mine."

"It really is hard to be beautiful."

"Yeah right." I pulled my hair upward lifting my bangs a bit as I smirk.

"Oh, you think you're the only one?" He smirk changing his hair style a little with utter fashion. What's this? A game of seduction.

"Try to seduce someone outside." Lucy groaned sitting by the window hugging her Nichola, we really forgot about her...again, we both laugh.

"I don't really care what you feel let's settle that later." I don't really love her. I swear over my dead bod- I didn't finish the sentence after seeing the girl sleeping. Ignoring the blode by her side... It's ironic how the strongest demon is unable to stand a carriage.

"Yeah, our main priority is to protect her." I said with a smile, he seems like he's agreeing. At least we have the same goal. "Means that I also need protect her from you."

"That's just mean!"

"Ah! How about Juvia, Gray-sama~!" Juvia finally woke up huh. I think I need to push her away, and I did but she won't let go. The carriage stop all of the sudden as I fell off my chair, Rin also fell on top of me as I was on top of Juvia.

"Ah! Gray-sama~! It's still to early for this~!" She's misunderstanding things again -_-. I shove Rin off as I ignored Juvia, eventaully Rin help her stand up. That's just cold of me. No pun intended.

"What's the problem?" Natsu uttered rubbing her eyes as she woke up from.the stopping of the carriage. She blink a couple of times as Sting later yawned.

"Guys... There are Bandits!" It appears that, the news woke Natsu completely as she jump of the mat. Oh boy, she's still a trouble maker -_-.

"Oi, they have a lot of pretty ladies here!" The door of the carriage flew open. It's been a while since I saw a bunch of Bandits. Without warning Natsu stood up even we were trying to be cautioned.

"Don't do anything... They have drainers." Natsu uttered seriously. Drainers? What are those?

"But aren't they illegal?!" Lucy uttered nervously as I really don't know what is drainer?

"Oh, a smart bitch."

"Although I can beat you all up without magic." My jaws fell as Natsu desappeared from my side. She leap forward kicking the guy. Eventually we grew worried and followed. There were more than 10 of them. She elbowed them, punch them, kneed them, kick them and punch them. She's having fun.

"Draining my magic is useless after all!" Natsu smiled as she merely hit the last one's neck as he fell.

"You stole all the action!" I whined hanging my arm around her neck. As she laugh.

"That barely warmed me up!"

"Your faces are too close." Sting push me away from her.

"What she's my best friend it's natural!" I hug her acting stubborn as Sting look irritated.

"Excuse you!" Lucy protested.

"They're just friends! Juvia will convince herself!" Juvia uttered.

"Reina-chan?" I glance at Natsu as Rin uttered that. Natsu shook her head.

"Dude, Zeref's gonna be alright." I ruffled her hair as she laugh.

"Yeah, don't underestimate him!" She fist bump into the air. "So no need to worry."

"Let's go?" We went back into the carriage and hell started for Sting and Natsu.
