[38] Operation: Bawal

OLIVIA

"Hey." I said softly as he looks away.

"What do you all want now?" He asked coldly.

"Um I wanna talk to you privately." I said.

"So you waited for me to be in a coma before you decide to talk to me?"

"No. To be honest, I've been waiting for this day but I couldn't find the exact timing until now." I'm trying not to shed a single tear.

"Really?" His eyes enlightened, I nod. "Sige."

"Bessie iwan ko muna laptop ko dito kay Kurt ha? Alis tayo sa eksena Gil."

"Sure. Kuha lang ako ng makakain Olivia. Just call me kung tapos na kayo or if you need anything." Gil said as he stood up.

"I'll be fine. Sige lumabas ka lang muna." Sumunod naman siya.

There was complete silence for around a minute. It actually felt like he was analyzing me or studying my face.

"Totoo ka ba?" He asked out of the blues.

I giggled. "Mukha ba akong multo?" Pagbiro ko.

"No. I mean, what made your mind na kausapin ako after chasing you endlessly like you owed me big time?"

"Wala. I just wanted to talk to you kasi ilang weeks ka na hindi nagpaparamdam. Why?"

"Um yun lang ba?"

"Namiss ko rin kakulitan mo. To be honest hindi lang ako, kaming lahat."

"You're lying." He looked disappointed.

"If I was, then I wouldn't force Hayley to find where you were and video calling you right now."

"Oh." Yun lang sinabi niya then there was silence for another minute.

"You know what? I missed you but I don't know why." Sinabi ko bigla.

"Really?" I nodded.

"Bakit pa pala ganyan ang kalagayan mo? Anong nangyari?"

"I'm guessing Hayley told you what happened that-"

"No." I cut him off. "What really happened."

"What do you mean?"

"Bakit ka nagkukulong sa kwarto mo? Bat lumalabas ka tuwing gabi at uuwi ng madaling umaga? Why are you constantly killing yourself when you could enjoy your life because not everybody gets to live that life you're living right now."

"To be honest. I can't move on. I tried so hard. I tried to be happy for the sake that I can forget about you. Pero, hindi pala ganun kadali. I wanted to fall inlove again pero hindi ko talaga alam kung bakit palaging nahuhulog ang puso ko sa'yo at hindi sa ibang tao. I want to stop all of this pero nung nalamn kong kayo na ni Gil my heart tore apart because you promised me at the day we broke up that we'll wait for the right time at habang hinihintay nating ang right time na yun ay promise mo rin na wala kang ibang mamahalin kundi ako." His eyes turned watery which eventually turned into tears.

"Olivia, sinira mo. I trusted you that you wouldn't break that promise because you told me you love me. I made time for you because you wanted that but you kept pushing me away. You told me that we should keep our promises the day you broke one pero pinatawad kita but the day I broke mine, you blew fuse. Hiniwalayan mo ako at hindi lang dahil sabi ng Dad mo kundi hindi mo ako pinagkatiwalan. Why Olivia. Why?" His words punctured my heart with a thousand swords.
