A Rainstorm
Strings of beads
Come falling down
And small droplets
Coat the ground
A mouth that opens wide
Catching a raindrop
Like crystal wine
Just inside
A crashing boom
That rumbles near
And the smell of rain
Is all around here
Gentle hands
On her ears
Softly muting
What she hears
Crystal drops
That fall to Earth
Patter softly
In the dirt
Liquid needles
Glitter bright
Quickly twinkling
Through the night
Piercing light
That cuts the skies
See reflected
In her eyes
