Saying goodbye..
"I just really want you to know that your mom and I are going to miss you so much, honey." Dad said to me as he hug me for a good bye.
"I'm going to miss you more, dad. You and mom. So much. I love you." I said
"Always take care of yourself there, okay?" Mom
"Yes, Ma"
"30 minutes pa before my flight. Punta lang ako ng restroom." I said
"Okay." Dad
So today's the day of my flight. I'm going to start a new life there. No more James or any shit about him. It's my first time na mawalay kila Mama ng ganon katagal. So medyo hindi madali para sakin at sakanila. I'm their only girl and only child so.. yeah.
"Miss? Miss! Ikaw nga! Miss!" Okay? Who's that?
"Miss!" Sigaw uli nito
"Wait! Kaecy!"
"Kaecy!" Uhhh? Sino s'ya? I don't know him. I've never seen him before.
"Hindi mo ako naalala? I'm Max. Max Castillo." He said
Max? Uhmm
"Anak? Ang tagal mo eh kaya sinundan na kita. Are you okay?"
"Uh.." Then I looked at Max
" Is this guy bothering you?" Dad
"Huh? Uh.." I said
"No sir. I am not bothering your daughter. I'm her friend. Max Castillo, sir." Max said
"Friend?" Dad
"Friend?" I whispered
"Yes, sir! Friend." He said then he looked at me
"Okay then nice to meet you, Max." Then Papa shaked his hands.
"Nice to meet you too, sir."
Parang pamilyar sakin yung pangalan nya. Hmm
"So saan ang flight mo, Max?"
So ano'ng plano mo? Why are you going there?" My Papa asked
"Ahh. Vacation lang po." He said
"Ahh. Okay." Dad said to him
"So how are you?" Max asked me
"Oh. Uhm.. I'm good." I said
"Next time don't drink so hard if you can't control yourself." He whispered
"I was forced to. Okay? I really don't drink."
"Wow. Why did you it then?"
"Because they told me to." I said
"Hahahaha" he laughed
"What?" And now I'm obviously annoyed
"It's just funny how you let other people tell you to do those things you know to yourself you cannot do." Then he looked at me
I didn't say anything.
"You know, sometimes that is what we do when we love. We let other people tell us what to do. And ends up messing the whole thing up and regretting everything because we listened to them."
He.. he got a point.
"Kaecy, do not listen to other people. You got your own brain. Use it. What's the purpose of having it if you won't use it?"
Uhmm..
"You know, I always thought that maybe if we stop listening to other people, we'll know that everything is meaningless."
"Everything is meaningless?" I asked
"Yes. Everything is meaningless. A chasing after the wind. Parang humahabol ng hangin." Then he smiled
Love is meaningless? Love is just like a chasing after the wind?
I refuse to believe that statement.
