I woke with a bang, no literally, a loud crash sounded and i woke up in my soft bed just in time to see it disintegrate before my eyes, I turned towards the door I came in Through the glass walls were illuminated with a blinding light, and seemed to be shattering itself.
I freaked out and ran the opposite direction I stepped on "she's" paw and she said "ow... WAIT WHATS GOING ON" then she also flipped out and ran the same direction. There were two guard rats standing by a thick concrete door. We ran up to them and asked, "oh please let us in this whole place is gonna cave in soon and..." they cut us off and said " oh my Hell shut up, isn't it loud enough in here already. Anyway yes you can go in." They said in unison and stepped to the side.
Once we were in they were right on our tails after they closed what seemed to be I large metal cap/door.
When we finally figured out where we were it was no surprise, it was a simple water pipe that had been disconnected from the system long ago. A perfect hiding spot, for creatures like us.
I stared off with a "NOW WHAT WAS THAT ALL ABOUT, I ALMOST DIED LIKE HOLY SHIT"

A few of the workers that were In The lab when we walked in responded in some indistinguishable blabber, so I said " shhhhhh quiet down one at a time." In a loud whisper
One lab worker walked up to me, his little coat sliding across the sticky floor.
"Well we heard digging above us we didn't really mind untill we saw the light then someone screamed abort...." another worker jumped in the air and said " THAT WAS ME I SAVED US"
"Anyway so we aborted procedure and pressed the self destruct button. Our self destruct system is not like the idiotic kind you see in movies where they just blow everything up, you see we are smarter in this way. All of our equipment is either programmed to shrink down to a miniscule size that could be mistaken as dirt, or disconnect all the magnetized pieces we had hooked together.... that's probably what you saw in the hall while you were running."
"Oh" I replied
The awkward silence began, I wondered how many disco party's and talking was going on outside of this muddy hole with other hybrids and humans and whatever...... my train of thought was lost in the loud clang I heard.
I saw a light on my neck and thought........ 'oh shit no they tagged me since when do they tag shit, bullshit damnit why world why?'
I was then glad that the others couldn't read minds because they would probably be kicking me out the door right about now....
The clanking became a metal screaming sound that should never exist, like a cat was just thrown at a chalkboard and was very slowly sliding over the surface with its claws dug into the stone.
"RUN!" 'She' yelled as small teeth-like imprints started to close in on the sides of the tunnel.
We ran pretty darn fast, my light still blinking, I knew they would always find me... I had to do something, but the clanking above was to loud to think properly.
"WE NEED TO GET UNDERGROUND, IS THERE ANY WAY WHERE THIS PIPE GOES UNDERGROUND!" Is what I said.
"YES, ONE MORE LEFT!" Responded someone up ahead.
'Yes just one more left I thought, as we came up to a final slope downwards which would result in an intersection at the bottom.
We ran and slid, I happened to get she's name in the process of someone calling her Grit.
Grit completely faceplanted right into the small beam separating the two pipes and was knocked out I started to drag her but it was no use nobody up ahead would help so I stopped.
I waited for the weird shelter robot to come pick me up, I was assuming the reason of all this chasing was because the humans needed something I didn't really know what at the time.
I ran a couple of paces away so Grit wouldn't get picked up as well and just sat down.
The clanking of metal paws and wheels together got closer
Closer
And closer still
Then they stopped, right above me
T

he robot closed it jaws around the pipe and the screeching began, I wanted to pull my ears off, but that wouldn't work. So I delt with it untill the whole pipe snapped, fresh air was there for a faint second then snap, I wasn't in darkness nope, just a glass bubble the robot was designed to capture I guess.
My bubble was in the jaws of a beast of a machine, it was the size of a cougar, with jaws just the size and shape of the glass ball I was in. I saw more empty glass containers lining the back of the large monster. When I looked down I saw somewhat five or six other critters in glass balls inside the robot, like a containers inside one big greenish blue color membrane or some kind of thin but apparently strong rubber that can withstand quite a bit of banging considering that one of the creatures apparently had rabies and had clouded it's glass ball with claw marks.
A small pang of fear overcame me, I knew I was probably gonna be fine... but the claustrophobia and intense knowledge that I was about to fall was getting to me and I panicked.
Four small metal stoppers appeared around my ball and fastened into place, whew, I thought I might not have to be falling and crashing and breaking all the other things out and getting everyone killed........ I stopped myself, just close your eyes I thought, but I couldn't even blink, my eyes were glued to the small drop behind me, all of this happened in a few moments but it was so fascinating I thought too much and got a headache.
The stoppers pushed backwards and shoved me down the hole and I didn't really hit with a clank, more like a light thud the drop was tighter than I thought it was but now I had a view above the ground, it was pretty cool give or take the insane scratching noise coming two bubbles away, I was suddenly very glad that I was not found sooner.
