We had worked our way to the kitchen. I had brought the plate of cookies with us. Crumbs of pumpkin cookies was falling out of my mouth. I sat down a table in the corner of the room Ethan sat next to me smiling, he quickly tried to stuff more cookies into my mouth. I laughed as I tried not to spit all of them out. Lance laughed at my brother and I. Stefan only smiled.

Maylinn pulled James out into a hall way . "Why are you here and why is their another wolf here? You know how I feel about wolves is this gonna become a recurring thing. I accepted your sons because they were different than other wolves and I knew they needed help and you could help them but are you adopting MORE children you're having enough trouble paying for bills as it is..." James cut her off.

"Mother that's not why I'm here. The demons are taking over Katie what are we going to do? I can't let her die"

"I understand but it seems your already knew what I was going to say considering you have brought two boys here but why are they of paranormal activity."

"You know how Katie just ADores humans." James said sarcastically," She'd never mate with anyone human no to mention how they wouldn't be able to handly her true self."

"We just have to try to make her as happy as possible." Grandma replied.

James started to notice Stefan was quite stiff which probably ment he was listening in on James and Grandmas conversation. "We'll talk about this later." James walked into the room. Grandma left the area. James stood next to Stefan while Lance was still laughing and me still trying not to spit anything out.

"What did you hear? The entire conversation I'm guessing, correct." James asked him quietly.

"Yes, but I'm still confused on why you insisted we come."

"If you heard our conversation just now you should know."

"You think one of us boys are just gonna drop everything and just fall in love with a rude girl who can't stand human which I might add, that like all of my friend are humans." Stefan replied.

"She's dying. She has demons inside of her. Demons feed on hatred and sadness. And trust me she definatly has plenty of reasons to be filled with sadness and hatred but we think if she were to have some friends she could be happier, and our theroy is that would help control the demons. I figured a boyfriend would be the fastest way for that to happen. Thats all I'm explaining." The conversation ended that abrupt. I notice the awkward atmosphere. I felt my phone in my pocket start to vibrate. It was an unknown number. I swallowd the cookies and answered.

"Hello?"

"I've heard about you." I didn't recognized the voice.

"What have you heard?" I asked as I heard an echo of the voice on the phone nearby. I stood up to to see what it was.

"You've been snooping about my where abouts." The voice replied. I knew who it was but I didn't show my excitement.

"No need to worry I'm just a faithful stalker." I started to smile. I popped around to corner. To see the one and only person I'm friend with that's even close to my age.

"KYLER!!" I yelled as I jumped to give him a hug. I could never forget the wonderful aroma of apples that his bright blonde hair gives off.

"So that's the guy she wanted to see." Stefan thought to himself. Stefan looked a bit jealous. I didn't let go of Kyler for a minute or so.

"You ok?" He asked me.

"I missed you." I whispered. Kyler barley heard it. On the other hand Stafan must of heard it loud and clear because he had the most jealous look on his face. I might of laughed if Kyler wasn't there. James pried me off Kyler and shook his hand to say hello.

"Been a while." James told him.

"Yeah I can't stay long sadly." He paused "I have to make my way back soon I'm on temporary release we arn't supposed to leave the college until you graduate but I told them it was a family matter and they gave me a day." Stefan still looked a bit jealous.

"We'll I think we are going to leave soon as well."

"Why?" I complained.

"The things we we're looking for arn't here." James sounded suspicious but I didn't care because Kyler was here. I hardly get to see him. Even though we have a four year age gap I have been in love with Kyler since we were little. Ethan, Lance, and Stefan were talking with each other. Like alway Ethan make friends with people almost as soon as he meets them.

Then there it was that mement were time stopped. Kylers phone lit up and their was a beautiful girl, and the caller ID, "Fiancé" I swear time didn't move until thirty seconds later. Kyler answered.

"Hi, yeah I will be back soon I have to meet with an old friend. Yeah I know I'm comming back soon." And there I was left heartbroken. Lonley. Full of sadness.
