Chapter 01

Her laughter, that is all I can hear right now. Tiana, the queen bee, the so blonde and perfect doll in this school, just 'accidentally' put her foot on my way and tripped me. I wanted to destroy her perfect face and make her cry to her mom. I am here on the floor, miserable, covered on spaghetti sauce and wet on my lemon juice. Everyone is laughing with her like I am a joke. Well, I am their joke for a while now. Being the new girl isn't really a good thing. No friends, nothing to talk to or to save you from this embarrassing moment.

I signed and quietly stood and shove away a noodle in my shoulder. I glared at Tiana and bit my lip. I am starting to loss my temper and ready to destroy her freaking perfect face. She stopped laughing and looked at me with disgust. If you are in my shoes, what would you do? Will you walk away and cry or fight this devil and go home with victor or maybe spend a month on detention? Me? I will fight this devil and wouldn't care about detention. And so I punched her nose as I soon as she attempted to speak. She fell on the floor, nose bleeding, screaming about her face and crying while pointing at me. Her friends scream with her, boys laugh at her while other just dropped their jaw. I, well I walked away with a smile of victor.

As I mentioned, I am new here. I just moved here with my dad 2 weeks ago. I had been Tiana's target, making fun of me. I just ignored it at first because she doesn't do much but insult me but when she goes physical I get pissed off. I took off my fake glasses and throw it on the trash can. I wanted to keep a low profile but disguise didn't work at all. I was about to enter the restroom when the principal saw me.

"Miss Havens,to my office now!" He shouted. I sighed and went to his office. I expected this would happen.

So here I am, sitting right next to Tiana who is still crying, her make up ruined that made her look like a clown.

"This action is very unacceptable-----" The principal started lecturing but I didn't listen. My mind wanders off.  I started to see memories of my once happy family until my father went crazy and my mom left us. Since then I always moved with my dad who's work is researching about werewolves. For me they are not real but for some reason my dad is obsessed with them.

"Miss Haven!!" Mr. Slivone shouted and I was out of my trance. 

"Yes?" I asked and he sighed then handed me a detention's slip.

I went out of the principal's office and looked at the detention's slip. Thankfully Mr. Slivone made an exception for me since this is my first time to make a bad scene, and since Tiana was not hurt badly.

I'm still disappointed that her nose was not broken.

I will go to detention for a week which I don't really mind. I folded the paper and put it in my jean's pocket as I look over my watch which says 1:30 pm. Great! I'm late to my next class. I think I will not enter my classes this afternoon. With the events awhile ago I don't have the will to enter any of my class for the rest of the day.

I went to the parking lot and get my black bike. I put on my helmet together with my knee and elbow protector before I ride on my bike. I'd better be home and get some sleep rather than stay here. Before I could pedaled away, a guy block the way. I stared at him with annoyance. Now what?! Who the hell is he?

"Hi. Sofia,right?" He said and gave me a smile where will make all girls faint but not me. I just gave a quick nod but keep my face blank.

"I'm Erick by the way and I've got some party tonight at my house..." He explained while I listen with no interest. This guy work with his magical charms but he doesn't affect me. Blonde, blue eyes, soft and tanned skin, tall and he doesn't look bad at all. He's every girls dream, and I've met guys like him before, and they are dangerous.

"So..umm..will you come?" He murmured and rub the back of his neck and smiled shyly at me.

"Wait..what?" I asked in confusion. God,I'm out of my mind again.

"Tonight? At the party." He said.

"Oh. Party. Tonight." I said and gave a soft awkward laugh. He just smiled at me with hope in his eyes. Well, he must not expect much because I will kill those hope. I stopped my laugh and gave him a fake sorry look.

"Sorry but I-I got things to do tonight. I expect my dad will come home so....yeah. I can't go." I lied and gave him a small smile. My dad won't be home 'till next week. His happy aura was gone and was changed with sadness and disappointment.

"Okay. Maybe next time." He said and smiled at me but didn't reach his eyes. Now I fell bad about him.

"Yeah,bye." I said and he nod as he stepped aside. I pedaled away out of the school and out of the town.

We lived out of the town,in a quite wide forest where we bought a house, big enough for us. There's only a narrow rocky road to get to our house that's why I use bike. It helps me exercise and save money rather than get a car that requires too much money for gas and all. I made a turn to the left and entered the forest. On my way to my house I always see this large rusty gate and tall walls covered with weeds. I wonder what is beyond the gate and those tall walls.

I was near the gate again and this time I stopped. I hit the break and let my bike stand on the side. Curiosity kills the cat. I decided to go beyond this gates. I sighed and removed the rusty chains around the gate. There is no lock. I sighed and pushed the gate open which made a creaking sound. I looked up and gasped. It fascinate me. The view in front me is very beautiful.

Green grasses that are filled with wild red,yellow,orange and violet flowers. There are butterflies and bees flying around. There was a small lake on the side that shimmer like diamonds and different fruit trees. The singing of the birds around are like music that relaxed me. It was like paradise. But what took my breath away is the white old mansion.

A mansion and it fells like....home.
