Link's POV
I sat alone, bored out of my own mind. Aboda village was quiet, too quiet. It has been three months after Malladus's death, I haven't seen Zelda since then. After driving my train around Hyrule I would occasionally see Zelda through her window and wave.
Zelda and I are very good friends. Well, I should say were, It's been so long that she might not even remember me anymore. She is the only girl my age that I've ever met, and dare I say the prettiest by far.
I've wanted to see her for what seems like an eternity. Whenever I mention it to people they just say that I'm overreacting. "Hey, Link!" Shouted a farmilliar voice. "Oh, hey Niko." I replied in my usual moaning tone. He walked up to me with a limp in his step. "You okay? You've been really down recently." This was true, I've been in a very sad mood.
It was night and I was just sitting on the beach, all alone. "I'm fine, I've just been wondering..." I started. Niko took a seat beside me "Go on."
"Well, do you think the Princess still remembers me?" I asked nervously. Niko suddenly burst out laughing "Is that even a question?! You saved her life, not only that, the whole of Hyrule too! You're probably the only person she ever thinks about!" Niko reasurred me.
"You really think so?" I asked, a sudden rush of happiness spreading through me. Niko placed a hand on my shoulder and smiled "I know so. Now, you need some rest, young man. You look exhausted." I yawned loudly. "Yeah, guess you're right." We both laughed.Niko limpped off using his old, almost broken walking stick. I took a moment of my time to stare at the moon. It looks beautiful, reminds me of Zelda. What if Niko's right? What if Zelda can't stop thinking about me? I need to see her soon. Yeah, I need to organize that. The beams of the iridecent moon shone over the blue, vast ocean. It felt as if I'm meant to be with the ocean, don't know why though.
I sighed. Maybe I should get to sleep. With that I headed back to my house.
Zelda's POV
I sat in my room, staring at the stars. I can't sleep. I couldn't stop thinking about that one boy who saved me, that one boy who saved the whole of Hyrule. That boy is Link. We had so many adventures exploring the worlds, driving the train and defeating Malladus. I miss those days.
Being a princess, all you do is work, eat and sleep. When I was a spirit, I could do what I want, be normal for once in my life. And do what most girls do: fall in love. What an amazing feeling. As soon as I met Link, his diamond blue eyes sparkled and then I knew, I loved him.
Yet, why do I have to be inprissoned in this castle? I've wanted to see Link for so long now. Why can't I go?! I slammed the desk I sat next to in anger. All I want is to be normal, just once. Tears swelled up in my eyes. Sometimes, I wish I wasn't born a princess.
Suddenly, out of the blue, I had an idea. I could write a letter to Link asking him to come visit! Yes!! That's a great idea. As fast as lightning, I grabbed paper and a pen and started writing a note. After a few minutes, I signed the letter "Love, Zelda." I read out loud. I hope he won't take it so seriously, hehe.
Good first chapter, eh? Aren't you dieing to find out what happens next? Have no fear, the next chapter will be up soon. Hope you enjoyed!
