Link's POV
I was so glad that it wasn't morning workout again. I was sitting by my train, excited to go to Zelda. I kept on thinking about where to go with her. Arrrghh, where should I go? Maybe I should ask Alfonzo or Niko. I ran up to my house, seeing Alfonzo and Niko having a friendly chat. "Well, my cucoo soup is the best by far. I insist that you try it." Niko stated. "Um, no thanks." Alfonzo replied nervously.
I told everyone in Aboda village about Niko's wonderful cucoo soup and now everyone's aware of how disgusting it tastes. "Er, hi guys." I greeted weirdly. "Good morning, Link. I see your ankle has gotten better." Alfonzo smiled. I rubbed the back of my head. "Yeah, It's fine now." I replied nervously.
"Um, do any of you know of any great places to ... I dunno, take someone to?" I asked, obviously not trying to tell them about the whole Zelda thing. "Well, the Anouki festival is bring held tonight to watch the Northern Lights shine." Niko said happily.
Alfonzo looked at me weirdly, "Why do you ask?" he crossed his arms. "Oh, no reason. Just heading out for the day and wondering where to go." Alfonzo looked at me angrilly this time, "but you said 'to take someone to'. Who's coming with you?" He asked. "Just a friend of mine." I said in my defence. Niko winked at me, "finally got a lady, I see, eh? Heheh, is it the Princess by any chance?" he asked.
"Wh-at? Uh -" I started. Oh no, busted. "I saw your letter, Link. Good luck trying to win her over, heheh." Niko laughed. "I see." Alfonzo said while sighing, obviously not happy with the situation. "Yeah ..." I said, clearly confused.
"Well, bye then. I've got to go." I said, trying to get out of there. "Okay, have fun!" Alfonzo and Niko said at the same time.
Zelda's POV
I sat on a patch of grass behind the castle, waiting for Link to come. He should be here any second. I saw a green figure come from past the wall, "Link!" I shouted. The figure looked at me weirdly. Only then I realised that it wasn't Link, it was a guard. "Hello, Princess. Why are you out here, may I ask?" The Guard asked. "I'm just waiting for a friend." I said honestly.
As a princess, I've always been taught to tell the truth. It's kind of stuck to me when I have to say something. "I see. Enjoy your day." Said The Guard as it carried on walking. I sighed against the wall. Where are you, Link?
Link's POV
I wondered through Castle Town, admiring the memories of my past. I remember walking through Castle Town on my way to see the Princess for the first time. On that day, everything changed, and I mean everything. I wouldn't be where I am now if that day never happened.
If it weren't for that day, I would just be a normal train driver with only a little meeting with Zelda.
I walked past the guards. As I was wearing my tunic, they still reconised me as a guard. Suddenly, I heard a sweet tune, like beautiful butterflies dancing around, coming from around the corner. It was the Spirit Pipes. Only then I knew it was Zelda.
I took a moment to listen to the music, it was the Song of Restoration, our duet. All my life I've never heard music as amazing as this. Memories flew through my head of our journey. All the amazing songs I learnt that helped me bring Malladus to his death bed.
I walked over and saw that one girl I've been looking for, Zelda. She was wearing her usual pink dress. She looked beautiful. "Zelda!" I shouted, happy to see her. Zelda's eyes snapped open as she saw me and blushed. "Link!" She shouted back, "It's really you!".
We ran into eachother and embraced in a deep, loving hug. It felt amazing to be with Zelda again. "It feels like It's been forever." I stated, tears almost in my eyes. "Yeah, I've missed you so much, Link." Zelda sobbed on my shoulder.
"I've missed you too, Zel." I said, pulling back to look at her. We gazed at eachother's eyes for a few moments. "I'm so glad that we're having a whole day together." I said, breathless of Zelda's beauty.
"Yeah! I'm really excited for it!" Zelda said, jumping up and down in happiness. "So, where we heading?" She asked curiously. I thought for a moment. Hmm. The Anouki festival doesn't start until the evening. What should I do?
"I was thinking, if you'd like to, at sundown we could go to the Anouki Northern Lights festival." I asked shyly. "That sounds great! Ever since I was young I've wanted to go there. It's hosted every year, you know." Zelda said happily. "Yes! The festival it is then. I don't know where to head to before it starts, though." I said, a little confused on places to go.
We both stood there in silence and thought. "How about we head to Papuchia Village and take a boat out?" Zelda suggested. "Sure. That sounds wonderful!" I said excitedly. "Let's leave now, then!" Zelda almost shouted. She took me by the hand and ran towards the station. I'm going to love today.
End of chapter 3. Just to let you know, the next chapter will be longer than others so might take longer to make. Hope you enjoyed!
