If it was a lot for Averie seeing him just lay there she broke down when he opened his eyes. The overwhelming beauty and the shrinking of the void was to much before she collapsed. Right away Dan was to his feet and over my the collapsed girl. He watched her as she laid still. He didn't know what to do.

"Did she tell you she had any health issues?" asked Phil.

"Some type of emptiness in her heart. she always brought it up. Like how it always felt empty to her and she tried not show emotion a lot. Maybe this was too much-" Riley began rambling, Dan cut her off.

"Phil, doesn't she look familiar?" Dan wondered aloud.

"I mean kinda, but there are a lot of pale skin, black haired beauties out there." Phil reminded Dan.

Dan pushed off what Phil said because the girl looked oddly familiar. It's not something as simple as Dan had saw her walking. It's like her knew her. Like the two had been friends for years.

"Should we take her to the hospital?" Riley asked suddenly.

"No!" Dan answered quickly, "I mean, it's not like she's dying. She still has a pulse. I'll put a warm rag over her forehead and you guys can go get medicine. Probably a flu."

"Okay. See you in twenty minutes." Phil said as he walked out with Riley,

Dan stuck to his promise and put a warm rag over her forehead, but instead of continuing on with his day, he stared. He wondered who the girl was, why she passed out, and why she looked so familiar. Dan immediately thought she had social anxiety and was having a freak out, but that obviously wasn't the case. Dan felt it was something more, but decided to stick to the anxiety theory.

"Hello?" A small voice murmured.

Dan looked down to see Averie opening her eyes slowly as she looked around the room.

"Oh god." Averie gasped, sitting up quickly.

Averie felt a sudden pressure to the front of her head and gave up on trying to leave. Instead she sank lowly back into her sofa crease.

"Hello, my name's Dan." Dan said slowly, not wanting to frighten the, obviously, fragile girl beside him.

"Averie."

"Are you okay Averie?"

"I'm not sure. I don't know what happened. It's never happened before."

"Maybe it's jet lag?" Dan suggested.

Averie could tell by the way Dan was suggesting things and asking questions he knew about as much as she did. All Averie really knew is that ever since meeting Dan, practically five minute ago, everything felt different. The void, that felt like home, was no longer there. Averie had nowhere to hide, not even in self pity. Averie always thought finding the void filler would be a wonderful thing, but truth be told it scared her. The way she spoke, looked, or even felt was scaring her ten time more.

"I suppose." Averie finally said.

"Would you like tea?" Dan asked, but worried when Averie just stared, "or coffee, milk, or juice?"

"no no, I'm fine." Averie insisted as she sat up slowly, "Where's Riley?"

"With Phil to get you medicine. We were slightly worried you might have the flu."

"No, I feel fine, just an off moment I guess."

Dan didn't feel right with the tone of voice or the shortness of her replies, but she had also just met him. He didn't expect Averie to open up to him so quickly. Even if it was just a small matter to him, it could be a big deal to her.

"Do you just want to go home?" Dan asked.

"I have a feeling I'm already here." Averie muttered, looking around the lounge.

"What did you say?"

"Nothing, I just asked where the bathroom was."

"Down the hall to your left."

"Thanks Dan."

"Welcome."

Averie knew her responses didn't have much effort put into them, but this was big. She didn't know how to sort out her feelings and if we're being quite honest here, she felt as if she might pass out again. Meanwhile, Dan sat in the lounge thinking of why Averie looked so incredibly familiar. From her pale skin to the way she talks, something about her was familiar to Dan.

"Dan!" Averie shouts.

Almost immediately Dan stood up and walked to the toilet.

"what's u-" Dan began, but saw Averie sat over the toilet, "bloody hell. What's going on?"

"I don't know, one minute I was washing my hands the next I was leaning  over the toilet with a bloody nose." Averie cried.

Averie cried more than she ever did. Not because of the bloody nose, or seeing Dan, but because it was her. The way looking at Dan knocked down her walls so easy. How, with the blink of his warm brown eyes, she wanted to melt. Averie blamed herself for meeting Dan. For passing out by the simplest of actions. This was all so much and as much Averie was terrified she also didn't went to leave. Something about this break down comforted her and it's probably because Dan was here to take care of her.

"Oh? What the fuck?" Riley asked, opening the bathroom door.

"Her nose is dripping blood. I don't know what to do." Dan said getting up and moving out of Riley's way.

Riley took two small pieces of toilet paper and stuck them up Averie's nose and tilted her head back.

"You, don't move your head. Dan, go to the lounge, now."
