A Christmas special

The next morning many yells were heard along with the rushing of maids. Getting up from my bed, I quickly change out of my pj's and fling the door open, running down the hall. As I pass Toby's and Kiba's room I shout "GET UP LAZY HARP SEALS, ITS CHRISTMAS!" My running seemed to quicken as I rounded the corner, almost knocking over a maid or two in the process. "Were reckless this morning arnt we". "Ahh! Where did you come from!" I yelled in surprise. "Never mind that, why are you in such a rush, and you do know Kiba is still in the infirmary right?" "Shit. Thanks Toby!" I say running off to the infirmary. "Wait you didn't answer my question!"

In the infirmary

"Kiba,Kiba, WAKE UP ITS CHRISTMAS!" I yell running in the door. "Huuh, what's wrong Jenna?." He says while slowly sitting up and rubbing his eyes. I interrupt his slow wake up by draging him out of bed and wrapping his arm around my neck for support, seeing as he was barely awake. "What the....!" I started running while draging him behind me, making sure he was at least attempting to run. "Slow down, the presents are not going anywhere!" "But if we don't hurry then we won't get a seat at the present table!" "Well in that case....., MOVE YOUR TOOSH!" "Finally, you came to your senses!" We run down the hall like the speed of light, shouting for people to get out of the way.

In the great hall

"This is odd, she is never late for the opening of gifts." "Yes your right, do you think we should send someone to fetch her?" Before the queen could call a maid over, two figures moved at lighting speed to their seats. "Were here!" They said in unison as they took their seats, panting. The king and queen sat in their seats, at the head of the table stareing as smoke came up from the floor dew to the extreme speed the two were running at. "Well, shall we begin?" The queen asked turning her gaze towards her husband, who was beyond shocked. "*Cough* yes I think we can start now."

"Wow a brand new dress, thanks dad, thanks mom!" "Your quite welcome" the queen said smiling. "Yes anything for you my dearest" King Charlemagne said while smiling at his daughter who was more than pleased with what she got. "Oh yes, we also have something for you Kiba." The queen said while reaching in her pocket. Pulling out the item she was looking for, she handed it across the table. "Thanks" opening the box he pulled out a tiny white stone with a golden swirl in the middle. "Use it when the time is right, it will help guide you." "I will treasure it forever, thank you." The queen nodded then asked "where's Toby, we have something for him to." "He said he had something to do." I said while looking up. "When you see him next, make sure you tell him we would like to give him something." "I will." "Now you two run along and have fun." "Ok thanks for all the wonderful gifts."

Kiba and I walk out of the great hall together, carrying our presents in our hands. "Hey, I wonder what Toby had to do that was so important that he had to miss the present exchange?" "Who knows, but ya know he's always been like that, running off different times." "Hey didn't you get a stone to?" Kiba asked looking at me while we walked around the halls. "Ya, it's right here, why?" I say pulling out the pure white, sparkling stone. "Just wondering." "Oh, ok" I put the stone back in my pocket. We keep walking down the halls till we come to a door that leads to the garden. Kiba stops me before I open the doors. "What is it Kiba?" "Before we go outside I want you to close your eyes." I look at him in confusion but then do as I'm told. I hear him shuffle for a minute then feel him take my hands. He starts leading me outside, the cold wind blowing my hair everywhere. When we finally stop I end up bumping into him. "S-sorry" "I should be the one telling you that." "Can I open my eyes now?" "Not just yet, wait a few more seconds." A few seconds pasted. "Ok, now" When I open my eyes I gasp at what Kiba is holding. "Is that a snow bunny?" I ask in amazement. "Yep, I made him from a spell that uses snow and ice to make new life. Would you like to hold him?" "May I?" "Be my guests." He says while handing me the snow bunny. "What's its name?" "Buddy" "He's so cute." I say while petting the bunnies long ears. "I'm glad you like him. He took me a long time to craft up." "I bet, to create living things from just ice and snow is hard, even for the most powerful demons." "Well I am glad he turned out right, and the good part is once they are made, they can live as long as their creator does or until someone hunts them." "I hope this one lives a long time." "You really like him don't you." I shake my head. "Well then I guess I have no choice but to give him to you." "Really! I can have him!?" He shakes his head at me and smiles. "This is my christmas present to you." "Thank you, thank you so much. This is the best Christmas ever." I say while wrapping my one arm around him to give him a half hug. He hugs me back then whispers in my ear "your the best present I could ask for on Christmas." His hot breath on my ear sends shivers down my spine. A blush crept its way onto my face as he pulled away. "Fufu your so cute when your embarrassed." "S-shut up." I say turning my head. He only smiles while taking my free hand, he pulls me towards him and bends down slightly, placing a soft kiss on my lips. We both lean into the kiss, intertwining our fingers together. "Merry Christmas" he says with a smirk while pulling away. I smile and we both start walking off towards the palace.

Back at the palace

Toby's pov

"Pardon me, but you wanted to see me?" "Yes we would like to give you something" the queen said while pulling out a box and handing it to him. I opened the box and see a jet black stone. I take it out and examine it. "Don't use it till the time is right." The queen said looking at me. I nod my head and take my leave, putting the stone in my pocket. I wonder if the others got one to?
