Forgotten friend

   Jenna's pov

   Loud shouting filled my ears as I nearly jumped ten feet in the air. Soldiers were running up and down the halls, getting ready for the unforeseeable future, aka the upcoming battle. You know that feeling when your to lazy to get out of bed but can't get back to sleep cause there's to much noise, ya this is one of thoughs times...... A giant sigh escaped my lips as I lazily crawled out of bed, swinging my feet off the bed. Walking over to the door not even caring to change my close I place my hand on the handle and open it. I immediately shut the door once I saw there was not even an inch of room in the hall for me to squeeze out. Sighing I walk over to my window in the corner of my room and open it, looking down at the ground that was two stories down. At times like this, I wish I could fly. Finally after moments of thinking, I put one leg over the ledge, seeing as there was no way I'd make it through the halls alive. Well this is it, I either make it in one piece or fail miserably and hurt myself."

In the court yard

   Hey Kiba let's have waffles today!" Ehhh! Again, we just had waffles a few days ago." Ya but I'm craving them." Fine..... but don't hog all the syrup." I didn't hog it I was just using it." Ya you used the whole thing not leaving any for the rest of us." That's not cal-" um, Toby?" Kiba, look straight then look up a little." Huhh?" Looking up Kiba's eyes widened. Am I imagining things or is Jenna about to jump out her window...." A silence spread between the two before they both yelled in unison while looking at each other "Jenna!" Racing at lighting speed they made their way towards the girl who almost had both legs out the window.

Jenna's pov

   I really hope I don't die from this.....please let luck be on my side." With that in mind I let go of the ledge taking my chances. My world flashes before my eyes as I fall towards the ground, hearing yells and racing foot steps on my way down. Jenna!" Realising I was about to hit the ground I closed my eyes and waited for the impact of the ground crushing my bones, but nothing happened. Opening my eyes in confusion, I look around only to see I was floating two feet above the ground. Then I dropped to the ground with a thud. I looked around to see who saved me, but I saw no one. I wonder...?

   Jenna!" Are you alright?" Toby yelled while running to catch up with Kiba, who was now in front of me standing with his arms crossed and his eyes lowered in a you better explain right now missy, look. I sighed as I got up, brushing the dirt off my pj's. When I looked up I noticed they were both starring at me with that look and had their arms crossed over their chests. I gave a look back with puppy dog eyes and they only stood there unfazed. Fine...... I jumped out the window cause I couldn't get through the hallway...." The two boys only stood there, Kiba scowling the whole time while Toby listened intensely. When I was done a long silence took over between us before Toby broke the silence. Jenna, I understand why you did it but why didn't you just call us or stay in your room till we came to get you?" Because, I didn't feel like waiting and I'm to lazy to yell in the morning." That was still no reason to jump out your window which by the way is two stories high and would have either killed you or hurt you very badly!" But-" No buts, that was very dangerous. If Ni-" Toby gave Kiba a look and Kiba immediately stopped what he was saying. I gave a confused look as Kiba stormed off. Toby gave a small sigh before walking me to breakfast. I wonder what Kiba would have said if Toby wouldn't have stopped him? Is something on your mind princess?" Snapping out of my thoughts I turn my head towards Toby, who had a questioning look on his face. No, it's nothing." I said giving a small smile. Toby only shrugged and for a moment I thought I saw a frown on his face but then he looked up again and smiled. I could have sworn for a moment there he frowned.
