Dan Gets Lonely

Dan picked up his cell phone before the second ring. "Phil!" he said, his mood instantly improving.

"Hey, Dan. What's up?"

"Just in the ol' browsing position. You?" Dan tried to seem as casual as possible, although receiving a call from Phil during his days on holiday was always the highlight of his day.

"Just on this boring holiday," Phil joked. "I wish you were here."

"Really?"

"Yeah. It's always better with two."

Dan blushed slightly, glad that this wasn't an IRL conversation.

"So...how are you doing?" Phil asked carefully, knowing that Dan did not like to be left alone.

"I'm...alright. When are you coming back again?"

There was a knock on the door. "Hold on, Phil, I think my Amazon package is here." Dan left his phone and walked downstairs to get the door.

He opened the door, to find Phil standing there. "Oh my god, you scared me," Dan laughed. Phil gave Dan a hug. "I decided to cut my holiday short. I missed you too much."

Dan smiled. "I missed you too. A lot. Can we play Sims together now?" He tried to contain the blush that so easily appeared on his cheeks, but he couldn't. Phil noticed, but didn't say anything.

"Of course." Phil smiled, and they both made their way to the lounge.
