Miranda POV
Later that night I sent Jude a message.
"We need to talk ASAP, meet me in the lobby in 5 minutes were going out."
I head down to the lobby 5 minutes later after changing into something that looks decent enough to go out, I wait for about 10 minutes before I see Jude come out of the elevator, looks like he just showered.
"I said 5 minutes Jude, not 10 you girl." I say sarcastically.
"Sorry, sorry anyway where are we going?" I swear he sounds older than me when were almost the same age.
"Out!" I say already heading out the door, I feel the cold seeping through my sweater I should've brought my coat.
"Let me guess you wanna talk about Jason and Celia?" He says as we start walking to nowhere in particular.
"What else is there to talk about? besides our non-existent love lives, and your brother and my cousin's incident this afternoon."
"That's true, but hey, Miranda you know,"
"Ahhh!!! I can't take this anymore Jude, we need to go in a store right not I'm freezing!" I say already running with Jude not so far behind.
I ran towards Starbucks, I really need coffee right now it's hot and I'm so fucking tired, I thought I'd get a break, damn...
When we got in I ordered a Caffè Latte and he ordered a Mint Blend Tea. Then we took a seat near the window.
"Oh yeah, sorry." I said shyly
"Why?"
"Umm, you were saying something before I ran here weren't you?"
"It's nothing" He says with a kind smile on his face.
"You sure?" I ask sincerely, I really hope he knows I'm being sincere here.
"Yeah, anyway, did Celia tell you anything?"
"I kinda guilt tripped her into telling me what happened, so yeah,"
"Well, Jason didn't really talk."
"Lol, well your useless."
"Hey!"
"I'm kidding, I'm kidding" I say slightly laughing.
"I swear, how are you even older than me." He says teasingly, he knows how much I hate being older.
"By two months! Leave me alone" I say with slight laugh
Were half way through our drinks, after talking about how much of a pain work and school has been.
"Anyway, back to Jason and Celia."
"Well, I honestly don't get how it happened but all I know is that your cousin rejected my little brother which caused him to stay in his room, eat ice cream and me kicking his ass in Halo."
"Lol, how is that even possible you suck at Halo."
"Hey! I don't suck at Halo!" he said as if his pride was hurt
"Well then, why do Celia and I beat your sorry little asses when we play." I said with complete bragging rights.
"Fine, whatever." He said sounding like while pouting like child.
"I made my point," I said teasingly "Anyway I have a plan."
"A plan for Celia and Jason?"
"No, your grandparents," I said sarcastically "Of course Celia and Jason, who else?"
"Haha, very funny," he said sarcastically with a straight face, "Anyway, what's the plan?"
___________
"Got it. Make them both go to Saturday Market tomorrow."
"Nice, let's see how this plays out then."
"Don't you feel even a little bit guilty, your practically selling out your own cousin."
"So, your selling out your brother."
"Touche, but still not as bad as what your doing."
"Well it's for her own good." I say with a shrug.
"Sure." he says extending the -u . "Anyway, lets head back."
Before we got out Jude handed me his jacket saying "Here, I bet it's freezing outside."
"Wait, don't you need it?"
"Nah, I'm good."
"Thanks, then" I love how Jude is really sweet about things like these, I can't believe he's still single honestly.
Then we head out, and back to our apartments.
