Marina's POV

That night, Garrett led me out of the ballroom and up the stairs to the others waiting outside those two huge doors. When my mate had apologized to the boys, he then led me into a different hallway. This hallway was to the left of the photo-adorned hallway that led to the ballroom, and this one led to a huge entry hall.

The entry hall was big. Not as big as the ballroom, of course, but it was big none the less. On both sides of the room, a spiral staircase led up to a balcony that had a view of the entire room. This balcony then had doors that ultimately led to the second floor. On the ground, there were couches and armchairs spread out everywhere, all of which were different shades of reds, browns, and creams. The furniture all matched the warm colors of the walls and tiles on the floor. Pack members were strewn about on said furniture, all chatting. When Garrett, the boys and I all entered the lively room, all eyes were on me. Especially, you guessed it, the males.

Garrett seemed to notice this, and wrapped his arm around my waist protectively. He then proceeded to give all the males warning glares. My mate then led me up the right staircase. Any males that were staring at me from behind got the brunt of the fierce glares from Logan, Harvey, and Martin.

Garrett took me down the hall to the right of the right staircase and into the fifth room on the left. He opened the door for me, but waved the boys off. Emory seemed thankful to get away from all the attention and bolted down the hallway and back down the stairs. Sonny and Logan seemed more reluctant to leave, but they did after a reassuring look from me. Martin and Harvey were the last ones to leave, and the most stubborn. The three brothers had a stand off in the middle of the hallway. It was actually pretty funny, but Aruba's scolding voice snapped me out of my giggly trance.

What are you doing? Why are you just standing there? Wave his brothers off! Don't you see our mate's threatened by them? Aruba scolded me. I agreed with her, and I got in between Garrett and his younger brothers.

I faced Harvey and Martin. I smiled and placed a hand each on their chests. Even through their tuxes, I could feel their tightly-muscled chests. Garrett lowly growled behind me, and I knew it was time to pick up the pace. I hugged the brothers, and whispered, "Don't worry. I think I can reel your brother in with my good charms." With that, I flipped my golden hair and turned from them to Garrett, settling into his side. Harvey and Martin exchanged glances and then, heaving a sigh, left down the hallway and down the stairs.

Finally alone, Garrett held out his hand towards the room and I entered with my mate following close behind. The room was dark and I couldn't see anything, at least until Garrett turned on the light. I gasped at the room in front of me.

It was the most beautiful bedroom is ever seen in my life. And it smelled exactly like my mate, mint and pine sap. This was Garrett's room; I get to stay in my mate's bedroom. My mind flicked back to Ian and how our bedrooms had been separated, for the arranged mating's sake. Raven hadn't trusted Ian to control his urges, and so we'd had separate rooms. I let out a scowl at the memory. Well, you're free now. And you'll never have to see Ian again, I reminded myself.

Garrett must've seen the look on my face, because he moved to stand in front of me and tilted my head up enough to meet his eyes. "Do you not like it? I can have another room prepared for us," Garrett offered with a worried expression on his face.

I smiled and placed my hands on his face. "Garrett, there's no need for that. This room is perfect," I replied. I actually meant it.

My gorgeous mate sighed out of relief. "Excellent! Well, make yourself comfortable. Where were you staying before you came here?" Garrett asked.
