{Marshall's POV}

Simone hugged me, tight. I was scared. But not as scared as she was. I could tell she wasn't scared for herself, but for me. I didn't feel good. How could this be happening? We should've never left. I could only imagine how guilty Simone felt.

When all of a sudden, an idea hit me.

"Would you just eat us, already?!" I yelled at the beast.

"Hmm... Good idea." The voice said, chuckling. He opened the cage door. I looked down. How stereotypical. A lava pit below us. How much stupider could he get?

I then, charged towards him, in my large bat form, the form I had recently discovered, and hit the beast as hard as I could. He was surprised. I took this to my advantage. I grabbed him by his shoulders and released him into the lava pit.

"Nooo!!!" He screamed the lava eating him alive. I then flew an picked up Simone, who was scared to death. I gently put her on the ground, and turned into my normal form.

"Marshall!" She ran over and hugged me, tears in her eyes. "I promise, never to put you in harms way, again." She said.

"Okay... BUT DID YOU SEE THAT?! I was like 'Eat us now!' And he was like 'Okay' and then I was all like BOOSH! And he was like 'Ahh!' And then I dropped him into the lava. And he was like 'Noo!!!'!!!" I said, turning into the little boy I was. She laughed.

"Okay, okay. Lets get out of here." Simone said, holding my hand. We walked into, what seemed like a never ending hallway. There were spiders an bugs crawling around. The only way we got around was the lowly lit torches. When finally, we got to... A DEAD END. Great.

"No, no. This can't be right! C'mon Marshy, try to find a stone, and pull it! There could be a secret entrance!" Simone said. I did as she said and looked around. There was a stone that looked like it was loose.

"Look, Simone!" I pulled it and the wall made a huge creaking noise and opened, letting out a puff of dust. Me and Simone started coughing. When finally, it went away. We looked into the room.

In the very center, was a crown. It was very pretty. It had gold spikes and had a diamond in each spike.

"Whoa, weird, right?" I said to Simone. Simone's eyes were locked on the crown. "Simone?" I asked. Her eyes would not be taken off. She didn't answer and started walking towards the crown. Her face was emotionless.

"SIMONE! SNAP OUT OF IT!" I tackled her.

"Huh? What happened?" She asked rubbing her forehead.

"I don't know, Simone. But it wasn't good." I said.

"How do you know?" Simone asked.

"I just do." I pointed at skeletons. Human skeletons. "Simone, stay here. And do NOT look at the crown!" I said.

I walked over to the alter it stood on. Weird writings were all over the alter.

Hmm... Whoa! I knew these writings! It was Latin! I studied it in... School. Ugh, the word gave me shivers. I started reading the writings.

"Umm, Simone. Come over here but don't look at the crown!" She nodded and came over. "I can read these!" I said.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Read it!" She said.

"Okay it says:

A human who may obtain this crown,

will gain immortality. The lucky winner of this crown, will also be granted of the element of water. But do not think this crown will be a dream come true. Their heart will turn of that of ice. They will lose their heads. So be warned.
