"That's what, a...four year difference? So he was like...nineteen when he...when you first saw him." Nila stopped to count on her fingers each time. None of us were ever that quick when it came to math. That's why we didn't take Arithmancy.
"That sounds kind of pedophile-ish because you were fifteen." Ashley noted.
"I'm sorry you guys, but I just really don't care about age differences right now. It doesn't change or fix anything." I said as I rubbed my face.
"Geez, this is like sixth year all over again." Nila commented and I finally just folded my arms over the counter and rested my chin on them, staring out the front door. I really didn't want to talk about it, and so I didn't. That day I didn't do anything but sit and talk.
However, the next morning I was horribly sick. Ashley was supposed to take care of me but she ended up sleeping most of the day. My room was freezing, I couldn't keep anything down, and I kept shaking. It was a relief when Ashley went home and Lisa could take care of me. Of course, that point I didn't do much but sleep.
The next morning I felt loads better. I worked in the shop which was good because we were really busy for some reason. Over all the day went pretty well and I wasn't to horribly depressed either. Once I realized that this was the third day I hadn't seen Fenrir I started getting a little teary eyed and mentally beat myself up, but it wasn't anything fresh cherry pie couldn't fix.
"Isabella, Ashley left her book here. Why don't you run down to the quidditch store and give it to her before they lock up." Lisa said and tossed me the book. "Don't you want a jacket?" She called as I pushed open the door. I was only wearing a tank-top and sweat pants at this point so I can see why she would ask.
"No, I'll be fine. It isn't far." I declined and headed out. I jogged down the alley so I wouldn't miss closing, but I took a short cut and ended up lost. "Brilliant Isabella. Just brilliant." I whispered to myself as I walked around, carefully peeking down corners.
"Lost are we?" A man asked as he suddenly jumped out in front of me. "Let me clear it up for you. You're in Knockturn Alley." I backed away from the man and bumped into two others.
"And I believe you're the doll that got our two friends killed a few nights ago." One of them commented. I should have known this would come back to bite me.
I reached down to get my wand from my pocked, but as soon as my hand made contact with it a red light came at me and I was in excruciating pain. I stayed as silent as I could, refusing to give them the satisfaction of screaming as I withered on the wet ground. The curse was released and I let out a relieved moan. However, just as I did I was hit with it again.
