I walked in my house shut the door and walked upstairs. I get in my room and throw myself on my bed. I just keep thinking about that kiss it felt like the one we had when we were 12. I keep thinking that what if I do just dump Kyle and dating Connor.
I immediately get that out of my mind. I love Kyle he's the greatest guy in the world I can't think of life without him. I decide that I'm gonna just get ready for bed and forget about Connor and the whole situation. I get ready for bed and I get a text from Kyle that says "Goodnight baby girl I love you❤️. I noticed you have been acting weird lately and I think it might be partly my fault for not giving you enough attention so I wanted to treat you tomorrow. Tomrrow night I'm taking you out be ready by 7:30. Oh and wear that black dress I really like😉. "
I read it and smiled I replied with a kissy face and went to bed.
I got up in the morning so happy and excited for tonight I didn't have to do anything today so I decided to go ahead and get everything ready and laid everything out on the bed. I was just deciding on the shoes I was gonna wear when my mom walked into my room. I turned around and smiled at her. She smiled back and said "What are you so excited about?"
I said "I have a date with Kyle tonight!"
"Oh ok." She said in a semi disgusted tone.
"Mom you said you would try to like him." I said.
"I know I know I just keep thinking about what if Connor had stayed and you two got together." She said.
"Mom seriously don't bring that up right now. I told you to get over that it won't ever happen. I hate him right now and you know that." I said
"I know but you should get over that." She said.
"Mom you know what happened so please just stop pushing Connor onto me." I say.
"Ok fine I'll stop. Have fun tonight sweetie." She says.
"Thank you mom!" I say and get back to my shoes.
Hours later I'm getting ready. I put my hair out of my face so I can do my makeup. I decide to go with a more natural look. After I finish my makeup I grab my curling iron and start working on my hair. When I'm done curling it I take a bobby pin and pin part of the front up so it's partly out of my face. I'm about to get dressed when my mom calls down for me to answer the door because she's on the phone.
I walk down the stairs and open the door and see Connor standing their.
I say "What do you want?"
"I just don't get why you would rather go out with with this Kyle guy and not me. I thought you really liked me." He says
"I did... When we were 12 and before you moved to California. Connor I'm in a happy relationship with Kyle which will be here in half an hour so you should probably go." I say.
"Megan I'm still in love with you and I can't get you out of my mind." He says.
"Well try harder." I say and close the door in his face.
The door bell rings and I roll my eyes. I open the door and Connor is still standing there but now he has roses in his hand.
"Megan will you please just go on one date with me so I can change your mind about me. Please?" He says.
"Connor no I can't deal with this right now ok please just leave me alone." I say.
I close the door and go back up to my room and get dressed.
I grab my heels walk down the stairs and just finished putting them on when the door bell rings. I open it and Kyle is standing there with a doesn Lilys in his hand.
"Awe Lilys thank you baby." I say.
"I know they are your favorite and I wanted this night to be so special." He says.
"It is always special when I'm with you. Why don't we put these in water." I say.
We come inside and I grab a vase and fill it with water. He puts the flowers in and grabs my waste and pulls me in and kisses me. The kiss is long and passionate. His lips are soft and it's like we are the only two people in the world until my mom comes in and says "Well hello Kyle."
He quickly pulls away and says "Hi Ms. Anderson. How are you tonight?"
"I'm ok. Thank you for asking. You better treat her well tonight." She says.
"I definetly will she's my little angle ,I could never treat her any other way." He says and grabs my hand.
"Ok come on we are gonna be late." I say and drag him out of the door. As we are walking to his car I see Connor walking down the street so when Kyle opens the car door for me I pull him in for a kiss and as I pull away he says "Damn I'm lucky to have you!" I get in the car and we drive away and half way through the the ride he puts his hand on my thigh and looks at me and says "Honey are you ok you seem like somethings on your mind. Anything you wa t to tell me?"
I say "No I'm just thinking that I'm the luckiest girl on the planet. I also can't wait to back to school next week knowing I'll always have you there with me."
He smiles at me and I smile back and we continue to the restaurant.
