After dinner Kyle drives me home and as I'm getting out of the car he grabs my arm and I turn around lean in and kiss him and climb out of the car.
When I get inside I go upstairs and get ready for bed. As I'm sliding into bed I get a call from Connor. I roll my eyes and pick up the phone. I hear Connor say something to someone so I say "Hello?"
"Oh Hi Megan! I didn't think you were gonna pick up." Connor says.
"Well I did. What do you want?" I say
"I really wanted you to reconsider going out with me. Just on one date and if you hate it then I will just leave you alone forever." He says.
"You know I can't do that. I have a boyfriend and I can't do this to him." I say.
"Megan do you really like him. I don't think you do." He says.
"Why would you say that? I love Kyle and I don't want to hurt him." I say.
"I feel like you're just dating him just to say you are." He says.
"That's so not true." I say.
"Then if it's not go out with me tomorrow and prove it to me." He says.
"Fine what time?" I say.
"I'll pick you up at 6:30. Oh and wear something nice!" He says and hangs up the phone.
I throw my self onto my bed and think about what I should do. I can't try to get out of it because then he will think I love him. I also can't tell Kyle because he will get so mad at me and think I'm cheating on him. I decide to FaceTime Kate she will know what to do. I try and call her 3 times and she doesn't pick up so I just go to sleep and I will figure everything out in the morning.
The next morning I wake up and go downstairs for breakfast. I walk in and my mom is sitting there and she looks up and sees me and starts smiling.
"What are you smiling about?" I say.
"You're going on a date with Connor tonight! You finally dumped Kyle and are dating Connor now!" She says.
"Mom I didn't dump Kyle. We are still dating. I'm just doing this to show Connor that I don't like him." I say while I grab the milk out of the fridge and put it in my cereal.
"Well I'm happy that you are giving him a chance." She says.
I go upstairs after I eat and I see that I have a text from Kyle that says "Goodmorning baby girl! I wanted to take you out again tonight!"
I read it and now I'm thinking oh shit what am I gonna say. I reply back with "I'm sorry baby but I can't. I have plans with my mom tonight."
He replies with a sad face and that ends the conversation.
It's about 5'oclock now so I decide I should probably get ready. I take a shower and dry my hair. Since its not really a special occasion I just flat iron my hair. I put on basic makeup and put on a dress that sort of outlines my figure but not too much. I grab a pair of basic black heels and go downstairs. As I'm putting on my shoes the doorbell rings. I look at the clock and it's 6:15. Wow he's early that's annoying. I open the door and give a half hearted smile. Connor is standing there with half a dozen roses and gigantic smile on his face. I roll my eyes and tell to my mom that we are leaving. I take the roses and put them on the table right inside of the door and walk out of the door. We get to his car and he says "Oh and by the way you have to actually act like we are dating so you have to like hold my hand and kiss me.
"Ok fine whatever." I say and roll my eyes. I get in the car and he gets in on his side. As we are driving he puts his hand on my thigh.
When we get to the restaurant he grabs my hand and kisses me. We are told we have to wait and it's really crowded inside so we wait outside. As we are waiting we are making small talk and then the buzzer beeps. We walk in and get a table and sit down we have a lovely meal. When we are done he asks if I want some icecream. I agree and we walk to the little icecream parlor down the street. We are still holding hands and when we get there he asks me what I want and I say a mint chocolate chip icecream. When we get it he kisses me and says he has had a great night. I say "Honestly I did too. This wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." He leans in and kisses me and then when he pulls away and I lean back in for another kiss. "Oh so you do like me." He says. I smile and I say "Why don't you just take me home now."
"Ok I will." He says and smiles.
When I get home I can't stop thinking about the date. It was so nice and I enjoyed it a lot but I really need to try to get it out of my mind. I go and shower and get in my pjs. When I get in bed I check my phone and I have 2 texts one from Kyle and one from Connor. The one from Kyle says "Goodnight baby girl I love you and I hope you had a great time with yor family tonight." I reply to it with a heart and look at the text from Connor and it says "I had a great time tonight! I will never forget this night. I hope you make the right decision;) I'll see you at school. I reply to his with "I did have a good time tonight thank you." I text my mom and tell her I'm home and then I go to sleep.
