Today Was Perfect

I told Jc that we could get lunch later after I was done with practice, and we agreed on finally getting What-A-Burger. At 12:30 I told everyone I needed to get going.

"Miaaaaa!" Mason yelled, "where are you going? We were all gonna go to What-A-Burger after this!"

"That's kind of where I was going," I chuckled. "I was going with a friend, but you guys can meet me there later."

"Who? Do I know this person? Is it a guy?" Lexi threw all these questions at me that I didn't know which one to answer first so I just looked at her. "It's a guy isn't it!" She started jumping up and down.

"Yes it is, but we're just friends...for now!" I ran over to her and started to jump with too.

"Uh, who's this guy?" Mason questioned.

"You guys can meet him later. I've gotta go though, see you guys in a bit!"

When I got to there Jc was sitting down looking at his phone. Not two seconds later my phone vibrated in my hand and sure enough, it was Jc: 'You almost here? ;)'

I quietly walked up behind him, and put my arms around his waist to give him a hug. "Hey, sorry I'm late. I lost track if time because my friend Mason took my phone for a bit."

"It's fine just thought you might have forgot," he smiled at me.

"I would never!" And we both laughed a little.

We got up and walked to the counter to order our food. When we finished and got our food I remembered I had to tell him about my friends coming here too. "Oh hey, um my friends were kind of gonna come here to when they got finished. Hope that's okay," I said very unsure,

He took a few seconds to think about that, " uh yeah. That's fine."

"Are you sure? It doesn't really sound like it".

"I guess not. I don't know I kinda just wanted it to be us so we could talk. You know?"

"Yes, completely! I kinda wanted that too. I just wanted to be nice to my friends."

"Let's go somewhere else then! We can take our food to the beach!"

We ran outside and got in his car. As we were pulling out of the parking lot I saw Lexi and everybody else I her car pulling in. I ducked and he drove faster; we both started cracking up!

"Hey we should stop by my house so I can get my swim suit!" I said looking at him with puppy eyes.

"Sure thing!" and we stopped by my house. I changed into my suit, put my clothes back on over, and grabbed some tanning oil and my sun glasses. I ran back out to the car and we headed to the beach.

When we got there he grabbed some towels from the back seat if his car and we laid them on the sand to sit on so we could eat.

We finished eating and he took off his shirt and ran into the ocean and boy oh boy. Was he fine or what?!

*Jc's POV*

"Come on Mia! Get up off your lazy ass and get in here," I smiled at her.

"Oh so I'm lazy now!" She yelled from the towel and started laughing. She undressed to her bikini and ran into the water.

She jumped onto me, "Oh. My. Goodness. This water is freezing!" She picked her head up from my shoulder and looked me in the eye.

"I'm having a lot of fun," and I set her down.

"I am too Jc. I am too," she hugged me and layed her head back onto my shoulder.
