Chapter 2 of Basketball Butch

CHAPTER 2

After school I walked over to the basketball court again with CJ and Gloria. We were going to try out for basketball this year, and I wanted to get there early to see the goddess from lunch hour. She had Hazel brown hair that went all the way down her back,  the tips of her hair being curly and blonde.  When we got to the court, she was there along side a few girls, guess we weren't as early as I thought.

 I really wanted to talk to her, or at the least, find out what her name was. I saw a few of the girls talking to her, one of them I knew. Chelsea was talking with the goddess, so when Chelsea left the scene, it was my turn to interrogate. I went to Chelsea first, "Hey Chelsea," I started. "So, who's the new girl?"Damn it, I am already coming of as a creep!"Oh, her?" Chelsea said, pointing at the girl. "That's Pierce Fennec, she started school today!" Wow captain obvious, everyone knows that or else I wouldn't be asking you. Besides my conversation with Chelsea, I still wanted to talk with Pierce. I strolled to CJ so if Pierce saw me, she wouldn't think I was up to something suspicious."Yo CJ, you know that girl from lunch? She is just over there! Will you come with me to talk to her, I am awkward as fuck?"

  CJ agreed, we walked up to her, I didn't wanna seem creepy or give away that I asked about her. I simply said, "Hey! So your the new girl right?" Wow, I know that was totally obvious that I was interested in her and maybe made me look like a total idiot, but she didn't take it that way. "Oh," she began. Was I making her feel uncomfortable? "Yeah, I started school today. My name is Pierce, Pierce Fennec. I started today so I could enrol in basketball today ,as well. Who are you?" She said it curiously, and also sheepish. Usually a girl would ask 'who are you' rudely, but the way she said it, it was cute and innocent.

"I'm Borris, Tryna Borris. I go by my last name though. You said you were gonna try out for basketball? I am too, no surprise there since I'm here right now. maybe we could practice together sometime?" Damn it. Did I just ask out this girl after I have just met her? Shit, what if she heard about me? No, don't freak out, just play it cool. "Uhm," OH SHIT, ABORT MISSION, ABORT MISSION! SHE KNOWS! "Sure, I mean, if I make the team.." Okay, that was almost a disaster. Wow, this girl is really sweet. And I am such a fucking loser...
