CHAPTER 4

Friday Morning

My dreams were  blurred from my memory. I couldn't remember them, but why couldn't I? I know that they happened. It's 5:40 in the morning, I wake up and go to the bathroom, I grab Wryle's and my toothbrush along with tooth paste. I brush my teeth, and go inside to lay Wryle's toothbrush and the tooth paste on his dresser. His dresser is covered with unfinished homework, "I guess I'll take this up." I take his homework back to the basement and put it on my bed. I go back to  the bathroom, only to see my ugly self. I had hair in a frizzy pony tail, old eye liner smudged everywhere, lips chapped like a cowboy's thigh. I was repulsive looking. I wash my face off and brush my hair, oh great, with out make up I look like a blind prostitute who doesn't know beauty if it smacked her in the face and said I'm beauty. I put Vaseline to my lips along with a dark blush in it to add color.  I apply a thin layer of eye liner to my eyes and am now decent. For my hair, I place the dark mixture of brown and blonde locks of hair in to a four strand braid starting from my crown and down my neck.

Now at 6:00 I hear dad's alarm clock blare in the garage, its very unsettling and the high tones are shrill. I go upstairs to see dad laying on the couch in the garage, drowsy and untouched. I walk over to him, "I saw you first!" He sighed his croaky and tired lungs away with a smirk. "Yeah, I guess you did," he replied. "I'm going to make malt - o - meal in the kitchen. If you get dressed and go outside to practice, I'll do Wryle's homework." That was sematurely suspicious, "How did you know Wryle had unfinished homework?" "Because," he began. "He told me he didn't have homework when you did.

I laughed at that and went to the backyard to practice, I wanted to get my dribbling as low as Pierce could dribble.
