Kenzie's Pov:
2 weeks ago my mum passed away. Almost 2 weeks ago my dad started drinking and doing drugs. 1 week ago my dad started getting really drunk and coming home late and hurting me. He is not the dad he used to be. He was supportive, him and mum were the couple that were voted together forever in high school. Without my mum this is what he has become. Its about 6 pm and this is around the time "he" comes home. I wait a few minutes and I hear the door open and slam close. I hear him stumble and set his stuff down. I get more scared as I hear him come up the stairs. The foot steps get closer and louder. My door slams the wall and he stands there the same way he has the past week and I know whats going to happen. "Its your fault my wife died and you need to pay for it,"
he says. "Its not my fault she crashed," I say, regretting it as soon as it leaves my mouth. "Shut up! Your going to get it" He slurs. He pushes my off the bed and kicks me, then he punches my temple. I hear his feet drag out of my room and the door slam. Everything slowly becomes black.
